Skin is your biggest detox organ. Let it do it's job. The external state reflects the internal state. Clean up the inside, no worries for the outside I'd recommend drinking lots of water and rest. Maybe a nice steam shower. Good Luck!

Are you nursing her? If so, she might be sensitive to something in your diet. Banana smoothies are awesome. You can even add greens to it and it still tastes sweet. When food is cooked, the water is removed. Add more water and it will hopefully help things flow. So will apple juice. Remove the fiber from the apple and swish!

I'm right where you are. That is exactly what has been holding me back from flipping the fruit switch on. I'm using EFT (emotional freedom technique- emofree.com) and counseling. Good Luck!

I'm another citrus dressing fan when I'm at a restaurant. I also ask for diced tomato on top- it's almost that salsa kind of addition. The juicy tomato plus lemon = me happy

SAD food has always been my numbing drug of choice. It's heavy to digest and distracts me from feeling anything of consequence. When I'm raw, I don't have that to fall back on, all of the repressed emotion comes out. Working on the mental as well as the physical is very important. I've been using EFT to help me through the rough spots. It's like acupressure for emotional difficulties. You can

I've found that I eat more overt fats when trying to make veggies more palatable. WHen I can manage to stick with fruit the weight has disappeared no matter how much I eat in a day.

I love red cabbage. I mono eat it sometimes. When mushrooms appeal to me, I eat them. When they don't appeal, I avoid them, as with any other food. If you can learn to listen to your body, you'll always know what to eat and you'll enjoy it too

For me, those feelings came up as part of detox. I did a cleanse for 2 weeks and I was done with the cravings for a while. I find that I can't even eat essene bread or anything resembling wheat or the cravings return. When I needed a transition tool, I did the raw version of the dense, high fat stuff at lunch which will satisfied the craving, then I gently weaned myself off of it. Good

Driving while drowsy is as dangerous as DUI. I suggest finding someone to make the drive with you and trade off- one sleeps while the other drives. You'll only have to stop for fuel and bathroom.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm better when I'm busy so I'm trying to sty that way. I'm also hoping that it's emotional detox making it worse in the short term while on the way to long term healing. Would love to hear about your adjustment- is it something like cranio-sacral therapy?

Anyone else dealing with this? Being raw mostly removes my main avenue of self medication- sad food! Now I find that I turn to fatty foods when I'm feeling anxious. I'm trying to stop that. I'm in therapy (I was before this happened) but I think I need to switch to a trauma based therapist. I keep having panic attacks. My trauma was hospital based and I'm not completely healed yet and whe

They are still made with mercury but it is allegedly removed at the end of the process. If someone told you "This fruit salad was made with ground beef to stabilize it but the beef was removed before we put the fruit salad in the bowl" would you eat it? Anyway, mercury is the least objectionable thing about vaxes. My religion forbids it. As for first foods, he loved banana and

Here I thought sun glasses made sunburn come on more quickly; The theory being that your eyes can't process the intensity of the sun which hinders your body's protective reaction (tanning). Bunk? Merit?

When I first went raw and couldn't kick the high-fat habit, I started exercising more. I found I didn't need as much o the fatty stuff after that because the exercise gave me all of the happy chemicals I need Fruits also helped (I have the most fat with vegies ie: dressings and pates). Good Luck!

My pool is saltwater. Chlorine just irritates me. I'm extremely fair, so I try to stay out of the sun from noon - 3 during late spring/summer. When I absolutely can't, I use a bit of California Baby sun block and wear a wide brimmed hat or carry a parasol. Looks like those are making a comeback

My hands swell during hot/humid weather. I've always been sensitive to heat that way. The only things that help me with heat-edema is to drink lots of water to keep flushing out my system and skin brushing before a shower (and, of course, staying cool!)

I used food to numb my emotions. After my emergency surgery this past Yule, I was on heavy painkillers to the point of coma for 7 days, then I was on serious narcotics until the end of January. Once I shook off the fog and started getting back to eating right I found I'd turn to food to numb myself again. Overeating cooked food gave me the same feeling as taking percoset or codeine. It took longe

I had to learn the difference between thirst and hunger. Sometimes it's difficult to discern. I'd drink a glass of water and if the hunger didn't subside after 20 minutes, I'd eat something. Also, as others have said, check your calorie intake and also keep an eye on food combining- if you're having trouble digesting you're going to feel hungry. Try to toss the cans and go for the fresh coo
