I don't eat it, but what do you mean by taken away? Are you refering to the case of e coli? Any food can have this you know. Even cooked food can get contaminated with it.

That is a tough one. I can't do them unless I use a light bungee to pull up on. I'm sure you know how to squat, but if you push with your heal you'll take a lot of stree off your knee. Easy for me to say...

I have seen a lot of people here who are extemely well spoken and knowledgeable. How many of you have a career that is related to nutrition? I have worked as a computer programmer for the last 10 years and although at one time I really loved it, my interest in nutrition and health has way eclipsed my interest in technology. I want to make a career change. I have recently gotten my certificati

Yea, I have thought that animals in captivity can actually turn people on the animals. I mean if a kid sees some dolphins at sea world that might make them value animals more. But I also see the other side of it. It seems like you can find pros and cons on both sides. My dog was wondering on the streets in a bad part of town covered in tar when I found her. I've had her six years. There

BARF is bones and raw food. I have been giving my dog raw food for about 2 years. It is sad but if you check with a vet you'll find that about %50 of domestic animals die from cancer. Many people say not to give dogs chicken bones. Keep in mind that this means cooked bones. Raw bones don't splinter like cooked bones. I've seen a lot of arguments that people are nor carnivours by desgin

Sometimes they can get a bit moldy on the outside with out being bad. But if the water was brown that sounds wierd. I get the all the time (5 times a week) and a chop off the top pour the water in a blender then cut them in hald and spoon out the pulp add a banana and ciamon and they are great. Sometimes I find them with a good layer of meat others have less meat and some of it is gel like.

Zuccini is a fruit I don't think we need chlorophyll do we? I know people say it builds blood, because it's molecule looks like blood. I never understood why that means anything. sodoffsocks Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If i remember correctly Zuccini also contains some > chlorophyll (also in the skin). Thanks, Jan I like the way fruits taste better. And being that I can get all the nutrients (minus the anti-nutrients or toxins) from fruits that I can get from greens, I prefer fruits. I have heard

I posted a while back asking what nutrients greens have that fruits don't. It seemed to turn into an argument. I am not trying to be hostile or convert anyone. I am simply trying to be as scienintific as possible about my food choices. It isn't enough to be told greens are centering or have good energy. I simply want to know of at least one nutrient that is found in greens that isn't found i

arugula, I should mention that I consume raw egg yolks and sashimi (raw salmon) to get my vitamin D and omega 3 oils along with many other nutrients. I strive to eat things that don't have toxins. I think foods that taste bitter to us do so for a reason. Most greens (especially the bitter ones) including kale contain toxins, for example glucosinolates. Glucosinolates act as anti-thyroid com

I guess I am confused because many articles say eat greens for minerals, but I can't seem to find any mierals you wouldn't get from fruits. It is not that I don't like greens. I used to put kale in my smoothies and didn't really even notice it much. I read this article which really made me think: arugula Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Usually l

I just read a book on raw food and it says the most important thing to eat is raw greens because they have a high mineral content. What nutrients are in greens that you don't get from fruits?
