Raw food is the richest and most flavorful food on earth. Sometimes, it is almost orgasmic (but on a spiritual/emotional/sensual level, not sexual..lol). I savor each and every bite. I don't have to think about slowing down and chewing my food x number of times, I just do it automatically to fully envelop myself in each and every moment of the experience.

thanks you all. It certainly felt like it was sitting in my stomach a long time. I have not felt so bad in a loooong time. The thought of eating cauliflower today does not bother me, but the thought of eating that exact salad again does, so I will assume Bryan was right...and that I ate too much of it. Trying to fine tune what works for me with Raw and what does not can be a challenge sometimes.

so I take it then I am correct and that is not a veggie you can eat a lot of at one time?? I mean, I eat tons of zucchini all the time and it never bothers me, so I assume it cauliflower is just a heavier veggie I suppose. Ugh...I am finally feeling a little better.

I get this from my in-laws all the time. They did it when I was just veggie as well and try to lay guilt treatments because I wont eat anything they make.

I have never been one for raw cauliflower, but I found a recipe online I wanted to try that was a cauliflower salad with an orange vinaigrette. I was so happy that I liked the way it taste. I ate the whole salad in one sitting which was about half of a cauliflower. I was making it in a rush cuz i was hungry and was trying to be quiet so my napping toddler was not disturbed, so I forgot to wash it

Since eating much more raw (like 80%) I have noticed that my body does not like tomatoes. I have been much more sensitive to many things since starting this and more aware of how things make me feel. Everytime I eat it in something when raw, I get a headache. I never noticed this when cooked. So, I am trying to not eat it for a while and see how I feel. Tomatoes seem to be a staple in many many r

Tamukha - I have no idea. How would I go about finding this? I don't ever go to medical doctors as they are pill pushers usually. But I guess I could for blood work. Does this info come up on a standard blood test? I do not like salt, have only used minimal amounts of sea salt usually. Who knows with the magnesium levels.
Bryan - thanks for explaining that. makes sense.

wow...I would have thought you would go through potassium overload with that many bananas. That is one thing I am scared of so I only allow myself 2 bananas a day. I already have that skipped heartbeat thing and have had problems with tachycardia, even though there is no history of heart problems on either side of my family and I am not overweight or drink alcohol, or caffeine...or smoke. Soooooo

thank you all for you support. I am doing better today. I have eaten raw ever since. There are just so many dynamics at place with this, as I am sure many of you know and have been through. I like the raw food I have been eating. It tastes good in its own way, but sometimes still seems a lot like ruffage. There is a lot of comfort in cooked food nd emotions that go along with it, even though I wo

Hi all. I first found this living and raw foods site about 5 years ago when I wanted to try incorporating more raw foods into my diet, so I was checking out the recipe section. I never really did many of them, but I was eating vegetarian with very little dairy at the time. I had been a vegetarian for 6 years and craved chicken when I was pregnant a little over 2 years ago and have had chicken eve
