Hi all. I bought raw almonds from nutsonline.com and on the back of the package, ingredients read "almonds, pasteurized". So much for raw at this site. Anyone know of a truly raw almond store online? I want to make my own almond milk, but isn't pasteurized almonds as bad as the store bought almond milk?

I found milk thistle in the U.K. and sent for it. (capsule or tablet) I couldn't find any in the U.S. with 200 mg of sylmarin. If anyone knows of a source stateside, pls let me know. It is strange that it only costs $3.54 USD to ship it from England yet all my other shipping stateside costs upwards of $6.oo USD. I appreciate all the replies.

I am sick of these cravings which I believe will take a long time to go away, if ever, and also derive from having diabetes, i.e. screwed up metabolism and hormones. I am doing much better than I was, but am wanting a reliable book or link to solid info on juice fasting. I do need to lose weight but that is not my main goal. My main goal is for strength, clarity and detoxification.

I thought I had to juice greens to get enough for optimum health? How much constitutes a good raw day's amount to eat? I eat a salad each day; a head of romaine,

Utopian Life, thanks for reply. I grew up in the South, eating lots of greens happily, albeit boiled to death. Now as an adult, when I juice raw green of any kind with fruit, I throw up. I don't know what is the problem; thought of pesticides on greens (tho I buy organic 90% of time), maybe the stems are harsh on my system? I just don't know. I would grow my own if I could. Haven't tried to juice

I need a recommendation for a Green Powder supplement to put in my juices. Which is best one? Limited budget so I want to find a great one and focus on that monthly. Thanks in advance.

My brother has just been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. He is not a raw food eater but will try some supplements & smoothie drinks in good faith as he has witnessed my overall health improvement from 80/10/10. Please give any info or links about such help. Thanks. I am very, very worried for him.

powerlifer, I read that FDA requires any food packaged in glass had to be irradiated for possible shards of broken glass. Thx to all for replies.

If I order this from one U.S. state to another, will it be irradiated if it is in a glass container in shipping? Anyone have a reliable link?

Why is it that I can eat chewable natural papaya after a meal and it is very helpful for digestion? I am referring to the combining rule of no fruit after a meal. I have no gas now, great digestion so I am thankful for discovering this. Just wanting to understand why the exception?

Reading Kathy Freston's book "The Quantum Wellness Cleanse". She writes that any nut milk is neutral and can be eaten with anything. Not sure if I believe it. I have pain in my hands, but would like to try making my own. Any ideas about help in squeezing the milk out? Thanks for replies. Anyone wish to share their recipe for almond milk? Do I need special equipment other than the nut ba

Is it true that almond milk is neutral in food combining and can be eaten with fruits, vegs and grains? Is mass produced almond milk considered safe compared with homemade? Thx.

Thanks, both, for the guidance and support. I agree. My cousin eats them, not me. Your info makes me sure I am doing right for myself by not eating them. It just made me wonder if it isn't "meat" then why the high cooking temp? I am grateful for this site; a place where I can come for clarity.

My cousin is bugging me for eating raw. (I am losing weight and feeling great!) But she says that Boca is "natural" eating. I disagree. Does anyone know why Boca products have to be heated to 160 degrees? I don't like the fact that they have to be heated this much.

I am feeling much more energy eating raw foods. I have heard that you can "warm" raw foods in a food dehydrator, so I am wondering what is the maximum temp you can eat raw foods and still benefit from their nutrients? The reason for warming raw food is as a step to complete change to all raw foods. I miss warmth in the mouth sometimes. I am at about 90% raw now.
