I think it goes hand in hand with all logic. Mike, can you know that when you're clean inside and living a joyful life with adequate excercise you're not getting enough nutrients from fruit? I'd like to research more on this. Various sources, e.g. "Consious eating", reports that vitamins and minerals have a special relation to each other. One can decrease the uptake of the other and

According to David Wolfe, the water in fruits and veggies compensate the loss of water in heated foods when you switch to a raw food diet. It is also the safest way to "drink" water since there are no bacteries in it and it is also elcetrified by the sun. personally, I would only drink water if I was thirsty and instinctively wanted it and nothing else. Yes, that is correct Mike - you l

Dried foods have no or very little water in them. Apparently, there is a specific sodium/water balance that must be retained in the red blood cells. Those cells strive for having the same sodium concentration as the water surrounding them and if the water has very little sodium (as in distilled water) they let in so much water and expand until they explode. If the water has a high sodium concentr

From this site! "I was a fruitarian for year(s), and now my digestive system is extremely weak; I eat food but have real difficulty digesting it. Help! An alternate, but equal form of this question: I was a fruitarian for year(s), and now I find that I cannot digest raw protein foods like seeds & nuts. Help! - very common complaint among former fruitarians"

I assume you get your iodine from seaweed, right? How much do you eat of that per day (dry/soaked weight)?

Coconutcream, in a way you could be right! This is what I found on the foodnsport website: "Extracted sodium chloride, in any form other than the small amounts naturally occurring in whole plant foods, is an irritant and is toxic to the body. It causes a decay of the sense of taste, retards digestion/excretion, and impairs the critical cellular potassium/sodium ratio upsetting our natural

I want to say that I will not try potatoes or anything associated with them. Thank you for your advise however. What if it is a process of physically and mentally learning yourself to eat in this relatively new way? You know when you're about to have lunch and you're hungry and then you wait a couple of hours and you're not hungry anymore? Increasing the raw amount gradually should elimin

When I'm eating rye and quiona cooked I notice how it feels like I've really eated a meal and I feel quite full and satisfied. When I sprout the same food I notice that I feel like I want more and more after I've eated the same quantity by dry weight - like I never eat enough. Why is that? Sometimes it feels like I haven't eaten a meal at all when I eat raw and it feels like I starve myself..

Dr. Douglas Graham has written something like: "To worry about pesticides when you eat cooked food is like worrying about a sting of a wasp infront of a moving train" on the questions and answers -section on his website.

1. Another good search tool is the USDA Nutrient Database. You can reach it here: 2. I don't know how to get enough sodium, calcium and iodine on a diet consisting only of fruits and nuts. Use a search tool, calculate and see if you get enough nutrients. 3. I don't go to restaurants but if I do I'm kind to myself and drink and eat whatever I want to. There's almost always a vegetarian me

It is obvious that when you eat to fullfill an emotional need you're going to have to let all the emotions, that you've tried to surpress, out and work with them when you change to a diet which can no longer be a substitute for happiness. I can't know that that's the case for your roommates, but it's a guess. I believe that every food is perfect in it's whole natural state, which is a theory

QuoteWhat percentage of raw food in my diet would be considered as acceptable to keep me in good health? That's a tough question. What is good health for you? To be free of diseases? With all respect, there are no guarantees in this world.

Dr. Cousens appears like one of the most well informed pioneers of nutrition in the world. He is a legend and he looks like the most healthy 63-year old I've ever seen. David Wolfe has been or is his apprentice and that says quite a lot. Although, I would actually put Dr Douglas Graham even higher.

Okey. I think I get the picture. What comes to me is that when you load your body with so much pure energy and it creates a "high" there'll also be a "low" and this unbalance creates health problems. Also, the less you use the energy that have been given to you, the more likely it is to lay on fat.
