I have had a coeated tongue since high school. I am 23 now so that's about 10 years! I read that a coated tongue is a sign the colon or intestines may not be working as well as they could. I keep reading the same thing over and over again but there is no advice. I was wondering whether people had experienced improvement with their coated tongue after going raw? i have been 50% raw for a few mon

if you can get your water intake from eating fruit i think that's fine - there is plenty of water in fruit and yes cooking food gets rid of the water in it. Some raw foodists say that we shouldn't have to drink three litres of water a day and the reason health experts suggest we do is because our food is so dehydrated. i have also read articles in this website where one raw foodists eats watermel

i think jodi is right. You're all very right and i appreciate all your comments and suggestions! - but jodi hit a nail on the head with me, being that i want everyone to be comfortable. most of the people i know are supportive of my diet. however, for some reason i feel anxious i am going to come into contact with rude people. i hate talking about my beliefs and the knowledge or wisdom i have

Okay, we've all been there (i assume) - a friend or family member invites a whole lot of people out for dinner and YOU'RE invited. Everyone orders heavy, cooked foods which include a variety of animal products, dairy and grains. What do you order? And when people make a fuss over what you're eating, what do you say? SSOOOO many times I have almost totally fallen out of the raw food lif

do you think maybe the cravings are emotional? i found during winter i wanted warm winter soups and thicker food but i think it was because i remember those foods to be comforting during winter. what do you think? also, how long have you been raw? you might be craving those things from detoxing your body.

david wolfe said that when are bodies are so used to cooked and processed foods, juices and smoothies are often beneficial because they re-train our bodies to absorb raw food. So i think that sometimes our bodies may be used to cooked and processed and people often mistaken this as evolution. Our bodies have memories and get into habits but it is possible to retrain ourselves. Just like detox may

I also experienced weight gain in the first couple of weeks. I think I was eating more because I didn't feel not eating as much pasta, rice or bread. I also wasn't more than 60% raw. I was getting a lot more water in my diet from all the watermelon I was eating too. I felt bloated over the first couple of weeks but now my digestion is good. I think, for me, the weight gain may have been for a few

Hi everyone, This is the second time I have tried the raw food diet. I have been about 50-70% raw for about the month now and lately have felt depressed. Even though on the inside I know I am not depressed, I feel lethargic and unmotivated, really calm, patient and at peace one day and feel very negative the next. Today I blew up over nothing and couldn't believe how erratic, angry and irratio

ryan and khale, i've always wanted a chef who appreciates raw cuisine this question: do you find creating raw meals for yourself creatively fulfilling? i've heard of come chefs say they find raw cuisine to be a great creative outlet. I have also heard other chefs appreciate cooking food more than preparing raw food. what do you think?
