Hi Mariposa, Nuts, according to Dr. Graham should be considered a high fat food. Have you tried nutridiary.com, or fitday.com. One can enter one's food and get a nutrional breakdown re: fats, carbs, proteins. Peace, Robin

My (non-raw) husband loves them, and he made his own version. He put some dates, coconut flakes, dried figs, and un-soaked cashews in the food processor, whirled it up, and pressed the "dough" into a pan. Keep it in the fridge. It tasted pretty good. He kind of improvised, and adds different things, like carob, or almonds. He calls it a Tilly Bar, after our dog. Peace, Robin

Hi everybody, Still here! Just been busy with summer camps, and stuff. I haven't been inputting my food values anywhere, but I think I've been pretty good, Melon in the morning, berries and bananas in the afternoon, and a big, big salad with tahini dressing in the evening. Not very good on the excercise this week though, only one reformer session, and some walking around museums, which makes m

I had dark brown eyes as a child, but somewhere along the way, they changed green. The whites of my eyes are much whiter since I've been raw. Plus, no dark circles underneath! Peace, Robin

Hi there, I haven't dropped out, but I was very busy over the weekend. Also, I wasn't very 8/1/1, either. Too many fats (olives, tahini, avocado...). Regarding continuing this thread, I love to read everyone's stories, but I feel guilty I don't contribute enough. Inputting everything in takes me too much time somedays, and others I have more time or motivation. Congrats on your doctor's

Well, I had a terrible eating day today, and I felt like quitting ths group, as I normally would do, but that's not what this is for, right? My husband kind of pissed me off this afternoon, and I ate some bread and olive oil. By some I mean a lot. Now I look 7 months pregnant. Ok. Now it's over. Got lots of fruit for tomorrow. BTW, my husband apologized for being snarky with me and he said

Hi everybody, Thanks for the recipe, islandgirl. I have that Alissa Cohen book, but I haven't opened it in ages. Time to look it over again. Peisi, are you going to Quebec? I live in western NY and I've always wanted to go there. I've been to Ontario lots, as it is just accross Lake Ontario, but I've never been to any other provinces. I did a report on Prince Edward Island when I was a girl

Hi all, Prism, I am definately an emotional eater, too! I ate a handful of corn chips this afternoon when I was feeling a bit weak and overwhelmed. We'll do better tomorrow. No bikini picture today. I wanted someone to take my picture this morning before my a.m. watermelon (belly bloat), but my husband left for the office before I could do it. I half thought I should wear my bikini all da

Hey everybody, I'd like to join you. I, too have a difficult time getting my fat down to 10%, but seeing how great you all are doing, inspires me! Plus all the delish produce available now makes 80/10/10 more appealing. I love the way eating so much fruit makes my skin so smooth. I'll post a bikini photo, too, so Peisi isn't alone. Bear in mind though, I've had three kids. I excercise

Hi Fuzzysox, I heard on dr. Grahm/Rozi Gruben's DVD, "Making Friends with Your Food", that adequate sleep is essential to having good BMs. Rozi said insomnia is related to constipation. So try to get some sleep! Hope this helps. Robin

Hi everybody, I finally bought some Himalayan salt at my HFS this week, it's red-ish in color, and it says on the package it is "Hunza Type". I opened it up, and it has a strong sulfur-y kind of smell (it does say un-sulfured on the label). The smell kind of reminds me of asofetida, if anyone is familiar with that. The taste is salty, with a strange sulfury-asofetida element. Is t
