I was raised on a farm in QLD Australia until I was 16. It was by no means vegetarian but alot of raw fruit and vegies. We grew (in small quantities but enough to feed the family - bananas, mangoes, lots of passionfruit, watermelon, lychees, figs, mulberries, tomatoes, spinach, pumpkin and macadamias. We had a few cows and I can remember squeezing 'Missy's' teat into my mouth when I was abou

Hi Uma & everyone, A couple of weeks ago I finished a mango only cleanse for 2 weeks. I experienced great results from it. My tongue was quite heavily coated most of the time until the end when it finally cleared up. My skin became smoother, most of my candida issues cleared up, eyes brighter, reset my eating patterns (overeating) to a great degree. More energy afterwards and fatloss. M

Oh well done !! that's fantastic! I personally just finished a five day water fast! I didn't experience true hunger once, probably should've kept going but I am doing it alone and still working so it's probably not too safe! Did you experience true hunger Dancer?

Haha cool thanx! How long have you been raw for and did you detox much intitially? Wow 14% is low, were you alot more before raw? 20% isn't too bad for me but I have some cellulite on my upper legs which makes me feel quite toxic, so I just want to get rid of it! Thanks again for replying, doesn't seem like anyone else is interested! Love mango X

Thanx alot Arugula :-) I really appreciate yr response and it makes alot of sense. The nuts and also unfortunately dates and other dried fruits have to go! I have never really thought of the mangoes only as being an elimination diet but that's exactly what it is and I will definetly go back to it now. My bodyfat is about 20%, I would like it to be alot lower because I like to feel light

Hi everyone:-) Have been reading for the past couple of weeks and not posting much but I thought I would say hi and hopefully receive some advice.. I can't be sure but I think I am detoxing at the moment. I have a history of intestinal candida and bingeing (which I think is related to the candida eating my food!- oh the nerve!) Anyways I went on a mango cleanse for 2 weeks and finished about

My past has involved intestinal candida (which is almost under control I feel) and lots of overeating and bingeing, finally I feel grounded and not thinking about food all the time..its very liberating. I've been mostly raw about 4mon

Hi John :-) Wow your post really resonates with me...I may as well have been reading my own story! Some good info on high raw is on Dr D's site FoodnSport.com, although he doesn't promote Fruitarianism his approach is very high fruit. 80-10-10 book is ment to be great too. The seed for my raw journey to start was planted about 5years ago when I bought a Oscar Vitalmax juicer, with the ju

Hi Sunshine79! I feel like I'm turning Fruitarian too lately! a mainly fruit diet does speak the truth to me. I feel theres a reason nature designed fruits brightly coloured and attractive - so we would eat abundantly.. and why nuts are hard to crack and blend in with their warm earthly tones - so we would eat more sparingly.. Seems to make simple sense to me
