I just finished reading a free ebook from soilandhealth on this very subject, so I thought you might be interested: Triumph Over Disease By Fasting And Natural Diet by Dr. Jack Goldstein (DPM) "A personal testamonial in the vein of a true-confession story, only this story is not of love and betrayal, but of a young man who, through receiving much conventional medical treatment for ulcera

I get them for $1.49 at Whole Foods, or 99 cents at the Asian market in DFW, TX.

I had gotten an email recently from advertising their fresh imported durian meat, sold/shipped within 48 hrs of arriving in the states. You can pick it up in LA, or have them shipped to you in the other US states. It's quite a bit $$$, but maybe worth it to you for a try (cheaper than a plane ticket). Just click on the link above, and it'll take you directly to their durian page. They have a few

I would also guess that it is your combinations of foods. I think that's a great idea to keep a food diary. I don't have this problem when I eat very simply (monoeating). I loved your humor. GL!

I was lucky enough to get a 40 lb box of bananas for $10 from Whole Foods a short while ago because the bananas were spotty. It never hurts to ask if they have any that they're getting ready to toss. Luckily, the Whole Foods I shop at doesn't have a Jamba Juice inside that would otherwise use those for smoothies.

I love mono watermelon! I do the same - sit with a half watermelon, a spoon, and a glass to spit seeds into. I did it for 4 days recently and look forward to doing more soon. It feels really light and easy on my system. Enjoy!

Yes,I agree with the others...I spent way too much money on supplements in the past and they did nothing for me except empty my wallet. I wish I had spent that money on delicious fruits instead!

I don't think this should be a problem at all. The body will always favor the baby first. Dr. Herbert Shelton actually wrote about pregnant women & fasting in his Fasting & Sunbathing book. I was looking into this book because I'm breastfeeding. It actually sounds like it's safer to BF while pregnant than during lactation (if you fear losing your milk supply). This is all referring to tru

I don't normally like to eat before noon. Sometimes I'll eat about a half dozen mangoes with lime juice for lunch, and for dinner maybe a little more fruit, whatever I want, and a large salad with romaine, red & yellow bell peppers, pineapple chunks, red grapes, grape tomatoes. Sometimes I'll have one giant watermelon for the whole day, or it'll be several glasses of fresh OJ (maybe a

Hello Renee, What Bryan has described has definitely worked for me while breastfeeding my now 2yo son. I produce more milk, my DS likes it better, and he's healthy & happy. I can definitely tell when he doesn't like something I've eaten. Best luck to you! Harmony

This is a wonderful idea! Very motivating to have so many people doing it together and being supportive of each other. Peisi, how nice to post your pics already! I'm not so brave to do it yet...I think I will wait until I have my good "after". LOL! I have the same problem area as you (I think most ladies do?). You're funny - "sassy side". I don't find the attire offensive

Hmmm... In my original post, I was comparing milk (which is whole) and juice (which is not), since the starter of the thread compared the two as similar and stated that juicing is totally natural. In contrast with animals "wadging their greens", I'm thinking of the juicing done with a machine, often mixing more than 1 veggie or fruit. I don't find that natural myself, and find that i

Since you've already had the watermelon this morning, maybe you could just continue with that. It always seems to have a "flushing" effect on me when I eat it because it's so high in both water and fiber. No non-foods are necessary to get the bowels moving. I hope you feel better soon.

I agree that milk is a whole food. Juice is a fractioned food. Fiber is an essential nutrient for optimum health. It gently sweeps through the digestive tract. What other animals juice their foods, throwing out the fiber? If you enjoy juicing, though, in place of consuming less optimal things, and feel good doing it...by all means, go for it.
