Okay this test was taken in August. August 9th to be exact. So I honestly cannot remember if I ate before I tested or not. However, I do regularly eat breakfast, and was not trying to control the results of this test. I knew I was generally in good health and would pass whatever the insurance company was testing for, because I have never had any serious disease before. As I remember, the t

No I didn't get tested for Vit B12 and D. This wasn't a complete test, like I said it was whatever the insurance co. wanted to test for. I'm not interested in blood tests, usually. I have no idea how to analyze the urinalyis, I'm just typing out what I see on the paper. It says Hemoglobin screen and leukocyte screen - both are negative and they do not offer a normal range. These two are un

I honestly don't care about blood tests, but I did happen to take one a couple of months ago for insurance purposes, and thought some of you guys might be interested to see the results. I've been doing high fruit/low fat raw (a la 80/10/10) and this test was taken at the 7 month point. I will post the item analyzed, then my results and whether or not they were in the normal or abnormal catego

Mine has gotten lighter and lighter, but I've only been fully raw 9 months, so not that long. I do high carb/low fat. I have gone over 7 out of the 9 months eating little to no overt fats at all. For several weeks I ate way too much fat (from avocado) and did notice a slight increase in flow during that time. I do not use condiments. I do exercise regularly - run 3-4 miles, about 4-5 t

I, too, have never been able to donate because of weight requirement - but to be honest, I'm squeamish and am not sure I'd be able to sit through it.

I don't write a food journal because over the months I slowly figured out how much food I needed to keep up my activity level. But I roughly know how many calories I'm eating nowadays because when I was documenting my food intake on my blog for awhile, I learned quickly what food has how many calories - these days I'm eating anywhere from 1600-2000 calories, usually somewhere in the middle of th

No problem! I had tons of questions starting out, it's just the way it is. If you're having trouble sticking to raw or understanding raw nutrition, yes, I'd recommend getting a consult with a raw coach. I didn't at first, but later in the journey I became addicted to fatty foods for a short period and needed someone to help me pull out of it. So I got a consult with someone who works for

80% minimum calories from carbs 10% maximum calories from protein 10% maximum calories from fat My experience (9 months so far) is in my blog in my signature. When I first started out I logged everything I ate and counted the calories. Now I don't anymore. Hope this helps.

Yes, several times. Bananas once and watermelon a few times, from 3-9 days at a time. It is a great experience.

I'm sorry, daisyduke. I'm obviously no expert, but I wonder if your body would heal faster if you did go on a mono diet for a period of time while being very restful. Perhaps watermelon, or orange juice? I hope you feel better soon! (((hugs)))

2-3 for dinner? One day this summer I ate, I think, 8 of them. I like the smaller ones. And they have to be very, very fresh or I don't like them. They're nasty when they're older and starchy. But yes, I love corn on the cob. Back when I was in college and eating crap, I used to eat cans of Jolly Green Giant corn for meals.

I've slowly, but naturally, let makeup go. I'm the girl who couldn't leave the house w/o foundation on! I just found that the more naturally I was living, the more makeup felt fake and gunky. Lipstick/gloss was the first to go. I couldn't stand having gunky feeling stuff on my lips. Next to go was foundation - even though my complexion isn't perfect, I just felt like the stuff was clo

I am agreeing with TroySantos... I, too, have listened to a large number of DG's lectures and read most of his materials...in fact, my husband got a consult with him, and we're both in contact with him now and then - and the only thing I've ever heard him say about the amount of greens is to eat as much of them *as you care for*. I'm not as experienced as most of you on this thread - 2-3 yr

I don't think that the issue here is protein. You haven't mentioned your exact diet, but whenever I read of people losing too much hair, it usually seems to turn out that they're eating a very high fat raw diet. In my opinion that is not optimal, or even very healthy. After eating low fat raw for quite awhile, I went through a short period (3 weeks or so) where I ate a lot of avocados e

I have tended not to be hungry for any food until sometime between noon and 2pm. Unless I am very physically active in the morning - then I eat earlier. I usually want a lot of sweet fruit for my first 2 meals. At dinner I lean toward big salads and tomatoes, other acidy things. I want savory things at dinner time. And fats too, although I haven't always craved fats.

Hi, I find that I have more skin problems when my fat intake goes up. My skin gets clear and stays clear when I keep my diet low fat. Right now my fat intake is higher and you can tell by my face...it's not horrible but like you said, it's sort of...clogged. Hope this helps.
