I was eating a lot of raw almonds also. But here is the one thing that helped me. I eat a lot of sweet fruit and that makes me feel satisfied and I don't crave fats any more. I don't know if there is any scientific reason/ explanation for that. BUt that works in my case. Plus I love delicious pineapples and strawberries and cherries. so it works either way Take care A Iyer

A lot of what I used to like don't taste good to me any more. Like I used to love rice cakes with lots of spice powder and oil.. i tried it that day and I could not even eat teh spice powder and oil. could not even taste it as teh smell of oil was so not pleassant any more.. Yes, taste changes a lot when we do more raw foods. Also I can't tolerate big cooked food meals. Take care A Iyer

Thanks all. I felt really down yesterday that somehow everything went to the way we were before raw... I guess I have learned that cure is not just thru' the diet. Cure is remving mental patterns that cause the disease also, and lifestyle change. I guess it went to my head that I am eating better than most everyone in teh family and now I feel humbled. I feel that it is better not to demand

Dear all, I hope some can please help me with this (as you all do, always, Tahnks My husband used to suffer from allergies (like pollen, ragweeds etc and used to cough and sneeze a lot). But after he went high raw, these allergies automatically vanished. We haven't moved or the climate has not changed - its just that the same spring/ summer allergens do not affect him any more. 85% raw and 15% cookd works for me too. I can handle the little portion of cooked food for dinner only. If I eat that at lunch then I feel sluggish and sleepy... This is as far as managing life, kids, schedules etc .. But I do want to switch to 100% raw soon. Here are my concerns - some are valid and some are like weird... 1. I realize already (after being 80 - 85% raw for year and half) that

Dear all, Thanks for all the input... Phantom, I think you are right. I think thats probably it. Now that my body is used to the easy digested raw foods and lots of it, it is finding it harder and harder to digest even th esmall serving of cooked food that I eat. I think that explains why I did so well when I forst went high raw and had two eliminations per day and after seceral months of being h

All results came back normal. The only concern I have is that I am off Thyroid medication and I want to fix it and let the Thyroid gland heal naturally. My TSH level is now 4.0 and that is in hig

I have had several rashes during detox. I had bad rashes in my arms and it went away (after it got really bad) after three days water fast. Citrus I heard is cleansing and can bring out acidic wastes from the body and could I suppose cause rashes. But if you suspect it is not detox, then I would just see a doctor, to be sure.. I also believe (no I am not a doctor or medical professional) that hormonal diseases (such as ireegular periods caused by hormone problems and also acne caused by hormone problems) can be corrected using raw food diet. I read in Dr Shelton's articles about how toxins affect the glands that secrete various types of hormones. He explains that when the diet is corrected and if the toxins are allo

Indian restaurants usually don't have many raw items in the menu. If you have to eat, have plain naan and a small salad (cucumber, onion, tomato). Other than that I can't think of anything raw in Indian restaurant. Last time I had a cauliflower dish called Gobi Manchurian and did ok.. I have also become very sensitive and every time I eat out I feel sick. I am Indian and not able to even toler

115. Re: Bread
I used to eat bread toast for breakfast and lunch and also dinner sometimes... But after I became raw, I completely eliminated bread. Here's what helped me to do it.. When I feel un-full and start feeling like I need bread, I eat a large piece of sweet fruit. That was all I needed. When we are a little hungry, I believe, a mixed signal sent to the brain... saying that we need bread or other comfo

Actually yes I understand that its a choice for me and I chose to eat junk, no one really forced me to.. so thats true. But I have been under a lot of pressure for the past several months and I had to make some difficult choices. It was too much to do and think and plan and I just couldn't. The funnies thing is, after we gave up on that plan, which was about two weekd ago, I started eating some j
