i am loving this thread too! sproutain man, i wondered your thoughts on this, partly related to spiritual matters, and that is... our capacity for regeneration, to turn back time in our body, have our dna or whatever other components play a part in this, bring us back in time to a younger body, or some area of the body healed to a younger state. i say related to spiritual matters because i

this is making me think i must try sprout juice. i've juiced for years, moving from fruit juice (i know not the way) to all veg juice, often as a daily thing...never sprout juice though. must try this now..

do i use it often? not that much now, when i first got it, i was trying out different recipes and using it more. there are months i don't use it at all, but part of the reason is when i make a batch of dehydrated foods, i over eat them! and then i don't feel good. kale chips are one thing that i feel fine having and so it is mostly all i make now. i guess i could live without a dehydrator, so

the noise i don't find too much, but i also haven't had other dehydrators so i can't compare. it isn't so bad as to disturb other tenants in the building though. when i have it going in the kitchen, and then go to sleep in another room, i don't even hear it.

i've made kale chips often in my dehydrater, it's excaliber 9 tray. a large dehyrater is good for it because the kale, even though broken into bite size pieces, is still tall enough that i have to take out some of the trays for it to fit. so to start, i can only fit in 4 trays (one every other space). until it dehydrates down a bit, then i can move trays around and add more if i want.

well, i didn't go back to sad diet, but after almost 1 year now raw, if i have a full meal of cooked food, even simple cooked veggies and tofu....i don't feel that good. not terrible or sick, but i'll be off for a couple days. and most interesting to me now, is i feel a drop in energy. i like how i feel on raw better!

i did ask them about heavy metals, although i didn't ask to see a lab report, i took their word on it... i should ask more specifically though, that is true.... i kinda thought most waters on earth are polluted, as the air and soil? and so there will always be some? i did a heavy metal test a couple months ago and things weren't too bad. i believe the raw diet really helps with that.

i have the same questions la veronique, about chlorella and also sea weeds. i use both (from good supplier) but don't know how contaminated the waters are...worse than soil? i don't know. and i love seaweeds!

i can understand that tam and what you are doing for them is the best in the situation that you have. actually your family is doing better than mine. my sister comes here to visit and eats chicken fingers in front of me (and of the factory farm variety) and i feel sick. so i understand what you are saying. the way most people see animals, many aren't willing to stop eating them. i'm sure

this is exactly the things i've been thinking of lately, on how to talk to people about animal animal suffering, unneccessary death and our domination over them. you guys are strong to be able to watch earthlings. i have not yet. i see short clips of slaughterhouse footage and cry. tam, humane meat and animal products are a marketing tool of the industry. they charge a higher price, and peopl

Tamukha...where have you read/heard in korea they don't eat dogs anymore? I thought they still did, but would love to know it's lessened or not happening. (btw, I don't mean this as to say they are worse than what we do here to in terms of enslaving animals and treating them as commodities. The life (and death) of factory farm animals is an amount of suffering i can hardly imagine.)

i'm actually very afraid of dying. i have trouble accepting there's an end (not sure i believe anything else happens after death, although i wish it did). not that i think of dying often, but for sure, i've been afraid of death probably since childhood. i love living so much i never want it to end. interesting thread.

i had the same problem, although not prediabetic, but very addicted to sweet processed junk food. i didn't eat anything healthy back then, although it was vegan. you'll be able to get back on track, once you lose the desire for it, it's no longer a fight to not have it. i used to eat pies, cakes, all the time, and probably almost a liter of pepsi every day, how on earth i survived living on th

exactly...so many beautiful vegan foods are available, sometimes i don't even know what to choose! (and not expensive most of it, far less so than animal products). to me it's not a decision like well bugs maybe less expensive or more available,or a source of protein...or whatever the said reasons are...i'm not looking for a protein/meat substitute, so many other nice plant foods to eat.

i think i have a bit of that too as my toes didn't really go that far into the toe spaces. little toes! the width was alright though. i think i'm going to try the vivobarefoot.

apples, flaxseeds, almond butter and cinnamon. coarsely chopped in food processor. it tastes like apple crumble to me. i love it, i have it almost every morning for breakfast.

thanks for the responses...i've been reading on vivobarefoot, good to hear you like them, they look really nice too! my vibrams are flow, it's hard to know what to say about them because i haven't worn them much... my feet were either too hot in them in the summer, or if it was cooler, then they were too cold. the ground feel was good though!

i've been very intriqued by this lately. anyone have comments on which type they like or don't? i have a pair of vibram 5 fingers, but found them too hot in the summer and too cold in the spring/fall! there are a lot more choices now than when i first bought that pair. i'm trying to alter my gait in the shoes i have, which partly works, but it's hard to undo a lifetime of walking a certain way

you can eat tomatoes, not too worry, they fall off the vine on their own, you didn't kill the plant or take anything from it.

i've been vegan for a long time, honey was the only non vegan thing i used, although rare. i'm glad you posted, it is true, i don't want to take away their home. it's time i don't have any of it anymore. i feel really good about this decision actually, thanks coco.

yea, mid 40's, never married, no kids...but my problem is i can't find enough time! if you have time enough to pursue other things, this is awesome. i need some kind of life management or something, i can't seem to get this happening. but what i would do if i could figure out how to pursue things....well is first of course to find clearity on what they are, which are most important...sounds s

mislu and tamukha, i can relate to being subject to unsolicited (and usually uninformed) dietary commentary from non vegetarians. they get very angry, and i've not said a word on anything, definitely nothing on how they eat....something of being a vegetarian infurates some people. maybe somewhere they realize they don't have to eat meat then and they might have to reconsider how 'right' their act

the sad eaters i know all get colds every year, at least 1 or more. i haven't had a cold in 15 years. which i find odd...and like powerlifer, i was ill before and even then i didn't get colds. i don't know why.

yes, that's exactly how i feel. it's nice being understood by you guys! thank you all for your input. everything around me in the day isn't what i know is natural or what i can feel is good for me, which is frustrating. but maybe i'll be able to move in time, can't figure out how i'd do that actually, but who knows. i'll just keep moving towards more health as much as i can where i am now, ma

i see what you're saying. and yea, the question is what is the root cause of it. is it one symptom of ill health, not like sensitivity that comes with feeling better, but a type that's strung out, with anxiety, and afraid to leave the house. actually i've had that before, and it's not a good thing. i don't know what's happening with the people you know of, that got worse being raw. there may

can't agree with that powerlifer...there's different types of sensitivities, some that happen when not well and not able to handle life stresses, and i know of these as i was unwell at one time. and there are sensitivities of being more intune in the body, also spiritually, and able to sense very acutely what is unhealthy and wish to move away from it. there's also a strength in the feeling where

i wonder if some of what i'm feeling is emr as well, i don't know. i live very close to hydro towers too. but i feel just very sensitive, and increased sense of smell and what i think is just sensing energies? i feel like i need to run away somewhere! thank you both for writing. i'm going to try that prana, to just take it as information and not personal.
