So I was at the gym last night and on the television comes on an advertisement for Centrum produced by Target. Basically there is a woman who is handed a variety of fruit and vegetable smoothies and she makes this horrible face in the prospect of 'choking down' the drinks. Instead the ad claims she should go to Target and pick up a bottle of Centrum Multimineral Vitamins. This is, in my opinio

That is what I do. I rinse every time (warm soapy water wash about every other time), towel dry and reassemble. I have tried the vinegar and baking soda, but the stuff resists everything but being physically scoured off. I am kind of afraid to hit it with scouring pads though because I don't want to scratch it all to hell. I don't know... so far it hasn't impacted performance but I can see ho

I am not 100% raw. I am probably 95% vegetarian, 85% vegan, and 75% raw. But less than 8 months ago, I was at the worst end of the SAD diet. Fast food and restaurants all the time, soda, chips.. you name it. My outlook since starting a move toward plant based diet and more and more raw foods has definitely been better. I think in part because I feel so much better, I can have a more optimist

I think that making a post or two about the dangers of certain things is a fine thing and serves a purpose. I think what gets people riled are the times that something is beaten into the ground when the danger level is maybe not as threatening as the level of hysteria might indicate. Another problem comes when people begin to see a perceived danger in something that has been used relatively saf

Hi all, I am having a small problem with white residue on parts of my juicer. It isn't visible when the parts are wet and it seems to only be on the 'active parts of the juicer..(auger, screen, and bowl). I can scratch it off with my fingernail, but brushing doesn't seem to help. I would say it is just hard water deposits, but nothing else in the kitchen seems to get that stuff. Any clues as

Credit where it is due. Matt Monarch seems to have pulled the Adya from his inventory and is basically issuing a recall and offering everyone a refund and an apology.

It is my understanding that Mr. Monarch has not been posting videos etc. for a time to allow people to listen to some seminar by Kevin Trudeau. I quit listening after a while.. I must have a piss poor 'teachability index'.

I don't think the juicer is under powered, I think it is the style of juicer and how it works. Being a slow speed single auger type I think it is just the trade off in using this particular juicer. I will say that now we have had it for a few months and we love it.

Hi there, by reversals I simply mean the number of times you might have to use the reverse switch on the juicer. Since I started cutting up my carrots or breaking them off into smaller bits I haven't had to use it at all.

Our go to juice is just the standard "mean green" juice. 6 kale leaves, a cucumber, 4 stalks of celery, a lime (most use lemon I think), a decent piece of ginger, and two green apples. We also do one that is carrot, apple, and fennel. That one is nice. I do both cantaloupe style melons and watermelon with rind, seeds and all. I do a kind of a V-8 with lots of tomatoes, broccoli, car

Honestly there is one major difference between the 330 HD and the 350 HD and that is the color. That is the only difference and I have not seen a price differential on those two models anywhere. Omega has a tendency to name it's different color machines different model numbers. We did a lot of research and trust me the ONLY difference is the color. This is also mentioned more than once in Joh

Hi, We were in the same position a few weeks ago. After a lot of research and considering the variety of produce that we were juicing and would like to juice, we opted for the Omega VRT 350 juicer. We have been more than pleased. Some of the things we have juiced are, carrot, apple, ginger, broccoli, kale, spinach, wheatgrass, celery, collards, cantaloupe, watermelon, plums, nectarines, cherr

I think if someone were an occasional sort of 'recreational' juicer, the Waring Pro Juice Extractor would never cause them a problem. The issue is that we were juicing for 3 and sometimes 4 people anywhere from 2 to 4 times a day. It was just too little juicer for our needs. Other than the fact that we wore it out, the points I would let people know about are: No external pulp ejection. Yo

Hi folks, I am a relatively new juicer... about 3 weeks or so now. Not totally juice but I try to do all juice and one healthy meal per day. By way of comparison, up til not that long ago I was a fast food, eating out, junk food horror story. I am going to bore you a bit with short history of my juicing aspirations. Long ago when I was in my late teens I had seen some article about juices and
