Yes. I've never juiced before but I don't think it was oversized. How do you cut the beet? It kept getting stuck in the grove between the two augers... Just laying on them. Had to use a significant amount of pressure to get them to grind. Enough to tip the juicer a little. I had the same problem with broccali stems even though they were quartered. By the way, do you grind carrot tops

Thanks. I made some juice this morning but only had 1 apple left and wanted to save it for my husband so I used a beet and it was great but it kept getting stuck. I sliced it lengthwise into about 1/2 to 3/4 inch wedges but it still had problems. Should I have peeled it?

My Angel came today and I made my first batch of green juice along with a great big mess. The juice turned out OK but I made far too much. Maybe someone can give me some pointers on how much produce to use for one person. I kind of went by Paul's recepe of 3/4 bland to 1/4 potent but ran into trouble when I took the romaine lettuse out of the fridge to find the meat crisper had frozen it. S

Is anyone else going to the ALIVE New York 2012 event in June? I just registered and would love to catch up with some of you if you're there. Can't wait to get my juicer and try it out. Thanks for the recipe Paul. Does anyone else care to share secrets on how to make green juice taste good?

I just watched some comparative videos and have decided on the Super Angel. It gave considerable more juice and less pulp than the others. I do a lot of educating in the natural health area and will be having a raw foods person give a demonstration in my home in June so I thought I may as well spring for the top of the line as I'll never upgrage. I've had my Subaru Legacy for almost 20 years

I just went back and reread of few forums and have now narrowed down my choice to either the Angel or the Omega. The Gerson Therapy is mostly greens with carrots and apples thrown in. I really don't want to spend a lot of time on clean-up and when I entertain, would like to be able to easily put it away. As for juice, it's just me and my husband. Another question: Do you clean your juice

How does clean-up compare for the above 3 machines? Any problem with the size of the opening?

Decisions, decisions! I've pretty much rulled out the Champion, Green Star and Norwalk. So I'm down to the Omega, Green Power and Angel. The one thing I don't like about the Angel is it's size and weight. Are there any negatives about the Omega that you can share?

Does anyone use the new Green Power Hippocrates Juicer? At $700 it appears to do everything that the others do plus infuse the juice with positive ions so it comes out in a coloidal form.

I just received an email through my website from a woman whose dog has a spindle cell sarcoma that is still somewhat wrapped around the spinal cord after an initial surgery. She's interested in doing the Gerson Therapy for him. Does anyone use juicing for their pets? If so, can you offer any advice as to specifically what you juice for a dog?

Something tells me that you didn't write your comment in German yet it showed up that way on my computer. Now it appears in English. Go figure! So far I'm still leaning toward the Angel but would like to know my options a little better.

The Gerson Institute recommends the Norwalk, Angel, Omega, Green Star and Green Power Juicers. I'd like to try this therapy just for health as my husband has arthritis but I am not a good cook, nor have I ever juiced... although I do use a Vitamix for soups... which he won't eat. My question is, which one of these might be simple enough for a newbie yet get the job done according to the

"The Gerson Therapy" book I'm reading recommends the Norwalk and K & K. I'm not a cook and never juiced before so I bought the Gerson juice recipe book. But after reading some of the posts here, I'm afraid I'll make the wrong decision in purchasing the right kind of juicer for the Gerson Therapy. The copyright of the book is 2001 + 2006 so there must be better machines on the m
