i must call you out on your exaggerated remark that the GreenStar is too much work to use and a nightmare to clean up. here is visual proof which cannot be denied. exaggerating to that degree is comparable to deliberate deception. a shameful thing.

as long as you are from outta state you should not be charged sales tax.
you could have it shipped to an out of state address, have someone from out of state purchase it for you and then pay a small shipping fee to reship it to you.
i think you ge the basic idea which is sales tax only applies to same state purchase.

i use a commonly found brush which is shaped like a small bagel or donut.

i have used my GS for many years and it has never heated up the juice.
the motor housing is separated from the twin gear system and juicing compartment ....so basically there is no pathway for the heat to travel into the juicing area.

suggestion for a good solution...
buy a cheapo and burn it out before the warranty expires.
please keep in mind that i do not use a blender very often so my $.o2 worth may be worth disregarding.

solution for back up....
1. add fibrous veggies into the feeding chute... and in the backup with begin to clear and you can resume "normal activity" with soft interspersed by hard vegetation.
2. if a faster solution is desired ...simply unscrew and remove the pulp adjusting knob on the from of the machine and take it off and let the feeding chute clear. the pulp will be absolute

cheer up heloves you.....you made the right choice. i have owned them all including the hurom slow (vrt) and the GS is all around the very best juicer in the world.

i forgot to comment on the easy cleanup.
the green star is really easy to clean i do mine in less than 5 min.
here is the method i use:
1. i fill my sink with water
2. i undo the latching arms and plop the whole thing into the sink of water.
3. in the other part of my sink i turn the water on and use the cleaning brush to rinse all parts except for the gears and screen.
