Jubbs Longevity makes smoothies & parfaits with Irish Moss. I wonder if anyone here is familiar with preparing Irish Moss for consumption. Jamaicans prepare it by boiling the Irish Moss but I'm certain there is an uncooked option available. thanks

I've been juicing for 3 years now & have always discarded the fiber. I rejuice the fiber when it's a bit soggy but have never thought of using it. Primarily since I don't have any recipes for it's use for burger for example. Well.. I added 16 oz of water in order get more juice but this makes a mess of things. I've put it through a sieve but i have to squeeze it all through to get t

Hello I've been a vegetarian for 2.5 years now. I've also gradually improved my eating habits. I'd say I'm now about 40% Raw in my diet. I love the lifestyle & only wish the improvements I make are reflected in society. As I become more involved in the vegetarian lifestyle a multitude of things have inspired me. Opening a vegetarian restaurant is a recurring possibility I have yet

Hey Rawnoggin this site is Synergy's recommendation for a high Standard Kombucha. They also have a self-instruction online video on making it. I found this blog about Kombucha: And then there's the you tube video submission: (it's also pretty good)

Thanks for your feedback. I've come to a similar conclusion regarding the 2ndary meaning of Kombucha being Raw - the enzymes, bacteria etc. I still won't call it Raw but do see the connection. The sugar was a concern b4 realizing it's for the SCOBY to consume/convert not I. It's pretty amazing that this mushrooom thrives in a medium (white sugar/brewed caffeinated tea) that isn't the be

And I called Synergy. They say it's RAW. Yet the tea for the Kombucha is brewed. There is no other special nonheated method that they use to brew their tea. They shouldn't state that it's Raw but whatever. Also they use evaporated cane juice which is an interesting alternative to white sugar. I found out that the acidity of Kombucha is 2.5 (very close to coca-cola) Thanks

Follow up query: I realize that Kombucha isn't raw per se: It's supposed to be made with white, refined sugar & with brewed black/green tea. I however recall some members here stating that they drink kombucha. Is there a Raw version of Kombucha? Synergy makes this expensive bottled Kombucha & state on the bottle that it's raw. Hmm? I have to look into that. thanks

Juliano in this you tube video about raw food says coffee is good. Around 4 min. into. Coffee is now good for you. What are the benefits to this cooked food. Isn't coffee, however, very acidic & causes many strange symptoms like: Nervousness, headache, increased heart rate, anxiety, upset stomach, irregular heartbeat, irritability,GI irritation, elevated blood pressure, agitation, heartbu

I just completed the MC on the 10 of July & have religiously followed the post cleanse OJ & even eaten 60 - 75% raw foods since. Today is July 18th & I just woke up with the above desribed pain. It feels like my lungs have collapsed & my heart is being squeezed from the restricted space. I've actually experienced this pain within the 10 day MC several times while sleeping or a

I was switching from PUR to Brita but upon reading this water filter comparison chart: Aquasana seems like the best option. I'm rethinking the whole thing. I like the convenience of having a pitcher filtering my water instead of a clumpy gadget that I have to hook up to my sink. Do you use Pur or Brita or Aquasana. Thank you for your feedback. Please don't turn this into a di
