i've never met anybody that had acne, who didn't eat proccessed sugar. i agree with prana, lifestyle cures/causes these things. traditional thinking is basically designed to get you to buy products. the wonder cure for acne is eating only greens and fruit!!!!! the only fat you need everyday is just a bit of nuts and seeds and maybe flax/coconut/hemp oil. very little, no proccessed sugar, E

living in this sense is not literal. But water that has been in motion for a long time,IE-natural flowing water, is put together in such a way that it carries the most electrical current and is the most bioavailable. this is less and less true for water that has been sitting. water is cleaned by the sun, but considering that the spring water is clean, i see no reason to take away the benefit o

I don't want you to have any misconceptions adrian. I don't think it matters what actual order you put the stuff in the chocolate. But just the ratios mainly, and whether or not you have a good temper going. What i suggest is that you save a little hard cacao butter for when the chocolate is pulled off the heat, and cooled for a bit to a safe temperature. Then grate a bit of the cacao butter

YEP, they need to be dry. What happens in the magical process of making nut butter, is the nut is broken down to such a degree that it is no longer a suspended oil in fiber, it is in fact mostly oil seperated from the fiber. which makes it delicious and runny. Or still thick in most cases, but still what we think of as "butter". Anyway, if there is still water in the nut, it will ne

there is another post that addresses vitamix vs blendtec. considering cost is relavent to you, i'd say go with the blendtec. But yes, it is CRUCIAL to invest in a phat blender. I have a friend who keeps buying cheap blenders and they keep breaking, and of course her smoothies suck too. Firstly, one of the main reasons you want a high speed blender is that it breaks down the foods on a cellula

OK, I am a recovering meat addict, and I have read a bunch of Vitoria Boutenko stuff. I am a green smoothie convert. Basically i have lost 115 pounds since sept 10th. I am doing this by focusing on green smoothies, wehatgrass, and anything raw vegan. My muscles are bigger than ever. They respond well to working out. Anyway, wheatgrass is awesome yes, but not vital. all that same nutrition

it sounds like its the nuts or oils. on days when i eat nuts or a lot of oils i don't lose weight. if you stick to only fruits and veggies you will lose weight and restart the detoxing process. eating heavy foods stops the fast detox process.

Yes, there are some farms that go to extreme measures to sterilize the outer hull of the almonds. But the one company I found ran out a while ago. I couldn"t find any on the website you posted. The ones I buy come from vermont or somewhere. Every farm in california that grows almonds must either steam the slmonds on the outside quickly, or spary some toxic gas on them to kill bugs or mol

When I make raw bars, I first start by melting the cacao butter lightly, then i add dashes of agave, and then i keep adding more and more cacao powder until it thickens a bit. it is going to be quite a bit more powder than you might think. That melted cacao butter really swallows up the powder. Then i lightly adjust the agave level to taste. doesn't need much agave, and i am cautious as agave

I would TEAR that up !!!! I have never found any problems in combining juices. Foods can cause issues, but juices passes through differently. If you drink the same green every day, you can get alkaloid build up, potentially causing gas or pain. So try to rotate between greens on the regular.

The science behind the logic of keeping the dehydrator at 145 in the beginning is the fact that if an item is soaked with water, wet, it will never reach the ambient temperature until the water is all evaporated out. This is due to evaporative cooling effect. SO even if you put, for instance, a chicken in an oven. This chicken is not done until the inside reaches about 160 degrees. This takes

also, i have found that the raw bars I make are sort of lacking. Last time i made some, I added a big ol scoop of almond butter !!!!! WHEEEEEEWW ! ! ! ! it tasted a lot like a reeses !!! yessir, it filled in the dullness. I tempered mine so they were hard and perfect at room temp, but tasted great and melted easier due to the almond butter, HIGHLY RECCOMENDED !!! I can answer specific questi

It depends on the chocolate blend. Some chocolates melt around 95, some melt at 95, but then won't solidify until closer to 100. AND how the chocolate solidifies depends on whether it is tempered or not. The freezer is used by some, especially if tempering is not being used. But the 2 major drawbacks to using either a freezer or fridge, are 1. When you pull the chocolate out of the freezer,

Technically, if you are working out, then you should be consuming extra calories. Dr. Cousens says it would be nearly impossible to have too few proteins and amino acids if one consumed the proper amount of vegetables, seeds, nuts and spirulina or chlorella. most vegetables are high in protein, this just wasn't one of the things they were trying to make us eat in the 80"s. they wanted t

I went into Whole Foods a few weeks ago, and they had this warning on the "raw" almonds. In california, they are allowed to still call the almonds "raw", though they are all steamed in order to sterilize the skins of disease. Or treated with a toxic gas. This is sad, in the sense that jeez, california is one of the worlds largest producers of almonds, for sure the biggest pr

generally what people don't also know is that most companies selling a product like peanut butter, tahini, almond butter etc, they will ad as much oil of the same nut or seed until the product is their favored consistency. I reccomend buying the same oil as the paste you are making. Like if you plan on making almond butter buy cold pressed almond oil. Your product will be thicker than normal

I wondered the same thing in the beginning, and i'll tell ya, soaking and dehydrating nuts makes em sometimes BETTER tasting than roasting. for instance almonds, get lighter, and crunchier than raw. i dislike raw almonds chewy hard texture and flavor. but soaked, and dried, YUM!!! an interesting one i don't soak, but tastes awesome raw is brazil nuts. Cooked they go rancid quickly. but ra

Hey ya'll, just wanna add my 2 cents. The trick to chocolate making so its perfectly tempered is to make sure the cacao butter, after its melted and mixed with the cacao powder and agave, make sure it doesn't go above 95 degrees and it is still tempered. if it gets too hot, you will have to retemper it. so if made properly, you can simply mix it and pour it into molds, and within 30 minutes wi

i HIGHLY reccomend eating a digestive enzyme pill for this for a few months. Here's what happens. The inside of your digestive tract, is filled iwth weblike mycelium structure, that will never go away until digested. There are pills on the market that are plant based enzymes that will, when taken on an empty stomach, help digest the candida off the walls of your system. This will make your ef
