but this Blixer guy has a fatal flaw i think - it is too big. i don't think you could prepare reasonable sized servings in it. you would probably need to blend like 3 or 4 apples at a time - and i only want to blend one maybe. oh well, guess we're stuck with food processors. my mother has an upcoming birthday. i wanted to get her a food processor as she never had one but when i was looki

let me quote from that pdf: "Recommended for use in healthcare facilities for preparing spoon feedings, semi-liquid feedings, and liquid feedings (for tube feedings); restaurants for preparing combo butter mixtures, sauces, salad dressings, mousses, and grinding herbs, seeds, lobster, scampi, etc." i dunno about you but to me it looks like VitaMix is a fake ghetto Blix

check this bad boy out: there is a special plastic blade that you can use to scrape off the food that stuck to the sides while it is blixing so this is kinda like a tamper in vitamix. very neat ! so when you need to grind meat or peanut butter or heavy stuff like that that's what you can use. i don't need that for now. you can't really design a machine that processes both liq

just to be clear - blending station advance will take the widest array of containers of any blender it will take all of these: as well as all of these blades: even though sometimes it says not designed to work with blah blah blah i did some research and it will work just fine - they are simply fussing because the presets on the machine are not time

i think between 5200 and HP3A the HP3A blends better but 5200 is a better blender - makes sense ? HP3A blends better because it has a bigger motor and bigger blade but 5200 is a better blender because it lasts 3 times as long. too many people have both so if they went with the big blendtec carafe they've spent ~ $900 total. for that same money you can just get a Blending Station Advance wh

today i was at williams-sonoma store looking at food processors ( for my mom ) and they had both a 5200 and professional series 500 on display. its the first time i saw vita-mix home models in person all i can tell you is - get the Blending Station Advance. build quality is night and day. the 5200 and 500 both look they were made for Toys R Us in comparison. their base is twice as light.

check the link: capitalism is a system which for many people is difficult or impossible to understand. you have a socialist mind. for you to understand why one blender should cost an X amount of times more than another is as unlikely as for a Nun to understand BDSM.

the reason preprogrammed operation requires different container shape is because to get consistent results with presets you need to make sure the shake is circulating evenly all of the time. with a tall narrow container there will be stuff blending on the bottom and other stuff on top doing nothing. with a preset you would end up with whole pieces of produce in your shake - such a container can

READ MY LIPS: MARKETING GIMMICK. blendtec owners think its preprogrammed settings are some kind of advance that makes it superior to vitamix - thats a DELUSION. actually Vitamix manual control is superior to blendtec's controls - let me tell you why. preprogrammed settings are not there for your convenience. this is what is used in a smoothie chain environment. before getting my Blending

i mean maybe let it defrost first then blend it. i am talking about those frozen vegetables u can buy in walmart etc. to turn it into a smoothie. would that be poor nutrition compared to buying them fresh and blending ? i am pretty active ( gym, bicycle ) and burn up a fair amount of calories - i can't afford to get that many calories from fresh vegetables. i can either get the extra cal

supposedly on a vitamix you can swap the rubber centering pad for an "xp" centering pad and use an "xp" or "advance" contaners which are ENORMOUS. i think they are actually bigger than the 96 blendtec. vitamix told me this will burn out the motor though because those containers have a bigger blade. i decided against such experiments.

I think there is some cheating going on with those will it blend videos. They don't show the whole blending process in one piece when they blend big items like an iPad. They show the beginning of blending and then they show the end. I would maybe trust them if not for the fact that they once got caught faking in the video with neodymium magnets. and even if it does blend an iPad that does

if the blender will be where the customers are you might want to consider a model with sound abatement cover. i am not sure how much quieter it would be though - probably not by much. will probably make a difference when crushing ice though.

I am having a hard time understanding the purpose of VitaMix 5200 and Vita-Prep 3. On Vita-Mix site the Vita-Prep is listed as a food preparation device as opposed to drink preparation for most other Vita-Mix commercial products. So it's basically not a blender but a food processor. But aren't products like Cuisinart and MagiMix better at processing food ? If you're crazy enough to spend
