Thanks for the info. I think I will grab a few jars. It seems really easy and cheap to do it that way. The only problem now is knowing the sprout times. But I guess I can look online. Yeah I think that recipe meant a total of 3 days for the barely to be ready.

I found this link that shows sprouting times for nuts, seeds, beans, grains etc. Are these fairly accurate?

Hi guys, So I am a beginner to sprouting. I've already done some almonds, and now I am sprouting some garbanzos, pumpkin, sunflower and barley for a few recipes. According to my recipe, the barely needs 3 days to soak. Its called pearl barely. The garbanzos I have no idea how long to soak, the recipe doesn't tell me. What I do is, I get a bowl for each and fill it up with clean water. After

What kind of "greens" would you recommend? I'm barely starting on this diet so I don't know much. I have some wheatgrass, kale, I tried getting some dandelion green but they were all out at the store.

Hi, Can anyone recommend a juice or smoothie that is good for diabetics? Its not for me, for my mom. I hear beets are good for kidneys. Could anyone tell me a good blend for beets? Thanks

I have a question about watermelon rind. Are you talking about the actual rind that most people discard?

Hi guys, I am new to the raw food diet. I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I can make a good transition. I do love drinking smoothies and juice so I wanted to learn more about it. I have some questions about mixing fruits and veggies. According to food combining charts/articles I have read, it says fruits should always be eaten alone, for best digestion. But I see alot of juices and smoo

My mom has diabetes and could be on dialysis in the future. In fact they say she will be. This thread/topic is very interesting to me. I'd like to see if I can get some help for my mom too.

Hi, I am a person who is new to the raw food diet. I been reading up on it for a few months, I do eat some raw foods and organic but I'm not satisfied with the amount. The problem I find is knowing what foods you can eat and how to prepare/eat them. I think this is the problem for almost everyone, processed/packaged foods make it convenient to just eat something right away. Well, I am not a la
