I didnt know pau darco was anti-bac that's awesome you learn something new every day! as far as the berberine in the gs and ogr: it may kill some gut flora, but if you only take it as part of a rotation for a few days, how much dis-balance could it really cause, considering how FAST they work. I love o.g.r. extract for sore throat because it's instant pain relief. haha, how bout *rebuil

Oh rest assured it is the finest Green Curry one can buy! Vegan, fresh, and not raw, but so powerful in flavor that not much is needed. I guess MM would not approve, but I gotta have my green curry sometimes or life seems hardly worth living without it. What an excellent flavor it is. I ate part of it, and it felt like... meh!... in my stomach, so I tossed the rest. And felt bad about wast

What a beautiful and well written article! If I am feeling under the weather, and I suspect it to be viral, I take Red Clover Pau D'Arco And sometimes Essiac tea (or its component herbs) Ho Shu Wu and Astralgus If I am feeling sick and I suspect it to be related to a bacteria, I have amazing success personally with this: Yarrow tea and Yarrow caps Grapefruit seed extract Orego

BTW thank you for the warm welcome, marsh. I kind of forgot my polite reply, but it does help to have some people you can talk to about raw stuff, as I know no raw fooders.

I blended up a YTC with a lime, and a lil bit of green curry paste yesterday. It was good, and I ate about half of it. Just now, I took it out of the fridge and put it on the stove on medium to reheat it. I was babysitting it, and I turned my back for a split second, and suddenly it was at about 170, maybe even (gasp) 180. I swear it was only at 170 for like five seconds. I freaked out

I've been doing this for a long time. You dont need to stop at the skins, I just chop and dehydrate whatever tomatoes are about to go off before I can use them. And if you do the same exact thing with berries, and add a little bit of sweet, you have the best jam ever.

My favorite basic cracker: Zucchini puree Chopped walnuts Thicken that if you need to with whatever sounds good. These are the best. They are substantial, and taste like a very pleasant nothing. You can season them any way you want.

The price of coconuts is low in the winter, and high in the summer. They are in season when it's winter here. That's why sometimes the price is 4 bucks and sometimes a dollar... except at whole foods where you can find rip-off prices all year round!

If you were going to go that far, why not say seven years, as this is the outside life span of a cell. Then you could technically say that your whole body was made from raw food. Some people have to 'get mad' to achieve. Like in the army when the drill instructor calls you a whining lazy wimp to get you to do more push ups. For some people that works, and you know, here is MM saying, 'I don

I dont know much about this topic, so I find it very interesting. I have a kind of dumb question: Is it possible that people each have different DHA and EPA requirements?

Maybe its not fruit per se, but *certain* fruits that don't agree with you right now? You could try one berry meal, one citrus meal, one melon meal, and one apple/pear meal and try to find out if one type of fruit in particular is the suspect...

Thank you for the tip on discarding the first pour. I just heard that from a Japanese person I know a few weeks ago, and totally forgot they had mentioned that to me! Thank you for the cola recipe, how bizarre, I will try it!

Something you can get your non-raw family and friends to do with you at mealtime instead of going out to eat: Go to a market that has a nice produce selection, and pick one or two of every kind of apple they have. Take the fruit and the friends to a park or somewhere with nice atmosphere, and have everybody try each kind of apple, and get them to share which apples were their favorite and

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I have enough kitchen experiments to keep me busy for at least a week now. Thank you! I wish I was cool, but I have had rooibos tea before and I don't like it. Not enough bite. I think it has a strange soft flavor, yuk. Chickory I could try and see how I like it. Rawalice, try this: Brew extra extra strong sarsaparilla tea, and dissolve honey into

I caught a flu that was going around a few weeks ago. I got achey for maybe 4 hours, a little post nasal drip for the night, and no more flu. Ive never been so not sick while I was sick, ahaha

Wario a spokesman for salad? Look at that belly and that yang nose. Maybe Luigi or Yoshi would have more credibility on this one...

how do you say "jiaogulan" and should I look for at an oriental market, or tcm herbalist shop or something? Sage sounds like a brilliant idea. Chammomile too mild, dandelion too bitter. I like red clover, and yarrow, but I was hoping someone might know of something a little bit deeper flavored. Something that tastes like toasted barley or carob or you know, like *dirt*. Can I

I am about 90% raw, and I'm going all raw. And I have been putting off the giving up of coffee, but now's the time for me to do it. I hate green tea and black tea, they make me feel kind of sick, so that's out. I hate sweet-tasting teas as well... no licorice, stevia, or weird apple spice, yuk I like drinking hot bitters. (Not like burdock, though, yeeeech) I have tried drinking po

You are all amazing people, thank you so much for your help and advice, it really means a lot to me. I upped my seed&nut intake yesterday, and it seems to be helping. Ate a YTC and some pecans... put a little coconut butter in one of my smoothies. I can't really tell if its helping yet. I'm still stuck. Sort of... I can feel this stuff starting to come up, come out, get unstuck.

I think that it raises these emotions of annoyance and frustration and defensiveness when we are with outgoingly SAD eaters because... ...deep down we all want everybody to feel healthy and happy in this way, and some people you think would just be so impossible to turn on to raw food, hardly stand a chance of ever evolving to the point where they would discover it, and especially when they ha

Hello, I am new to posting here, but not new to reading. I would like feedback on a detox issue that has cropped up for me. I posted all about it in the Raw Diary forum just a few minutes ago. If you have time to read it and send a few ideas or thoughts my way, I'd be much obliged. Thank you, Coconana

Hello all! I read this board all the time, but I've never had an account. I made one today because I would like other people's views on what I'm going through. So here is what I'm going through... I'm in my mid thirties. I've always been big. I've always fought being big. Sometimes I win, sometimes i lose. I have weighed 250 at two separate times in my life. I have weighted 150 may
