absolutely you have to do what works for YOU
When I started I would pack elaborate lunches, take cakes, buscuits, deserts etc with me. It helped in the first instance.
Now things are more simplied, your diet will evolve.. whatever works for now, take it and embrace it

yeep.. I pretty much eat 80-10-10..although most of the time closer to 90-5-5
If I crave avo I will eat them, but mostly just eat juicy fruits
easy, cheap...gives my energy to train more.. not heavy stomach etc
so yeah..its doable

I would never bother again, eat your fruit.. dont worry about b12..
if your a person that "likes" to take pills, use a sublingual once a month

I think for other UC sufferers it can be scary, when your loosing blood, can barely eat solids.. your scared to do anything.
Think you have to get to the point where you have tried anything and are open minded to trying something new..
When people say " is that all your having"..im like..yeah..and its fantastic..a lot cheaper than keeping myself in steroids!!

I dont do menus
I work a 50 hour week in gov offices. I take kg oranges, couple kgs banana's and a sack of avos in at the start of the week... simple as that!
I found when I first started raw it was easier to do a huge salad, loads of trimmings. I also used a tiffin for a while.. would do 1 layer pasta, 2 layer sald..and 3 layer choc dessert and then just carry some fruit... maybe an idea

My mum has type 2, she has been fine with berries mainly and things such as cucs, peppers, tomaoes etc...
green soups..good place to start
for the green smoothie would suggest just berries..then try items of fruit one at a time. Depending on a persons tollerance, if they have their sugar levels under control etc.

Only thing that caused be problem was mushrooms, ended up in hospital with an obstruction. But.. YOU have to see what works/dosent work for you

112. Re: low on iron
Vitamin C essential for iron absoption, so make sure your getting plenty of citrus alongside your iron rich foods
you may be low on iron as a UC sufferer, I know I lost a lot of blood from bowels during flares, my iron level is back to normal now.
Okay here goes list of things I found :
Dried apricots
Dried figs
Broccoli
Asparagus
Chickpea
Spinach
these are from veggie society

green bags work well, not all of us can afford greens everyday
but..
I just use two fridges and countertop for storage..never have a problem with spoilage, I tend to only buy 1 or 2 types of produce at a time
