Rawsun, Thanks for the response. I was wondering if anybody was going to post a reply. ;-) @ $20 per day that would be about $600 per month, which is about what my food bill is now with me raw and my daughter who eats sad. I could probably pull a juice feast off but not the supplements unless I went into my savings or charged them. And at this point I think I'm feeling desperate enough to d

Hello All! Ive been reading a bit and watching some videos about juice feasting and am thinking this is something I may like to try and am curious to hear from others on this. Has anyone here done juice feasting? It sounds like it could be quite expensive and time consuming to make a gallon of juice per day. I think it takes me about 30-45 minutes to juice about a quart of juice with my green

Thanks Bryan! I do try to wait until they are speckled. But now that you mention it, I think I did actually have some that weren't totally ripe, as they had some speckles but were still a little green at the end of the stems. I'll make sure they are absolutely ripe from now on. Do you think it is possible that blending them could cause them to be consti? I sometimes make green smoothies

36. Bananas
I just looked up the nutrition info on bananas. It said bananas are a good source of fiber (6 grams per one mashed cup). If this is so then why are bananas constipating? Or am I the only one that gets this affect? I absolutely love bananas and was thrilled that I could actually make a meal on them while following 80/10/10, but they plug me up!!!!! Any thoughts? Thanks! Denise

I started following 80 10 10 about a month or so ago and the difference in how I feel is striking!!! I do have a hard time trying to consume the large volume of food so I started relying more on bananas to get my calories up. This being one of the two problems I have encountered on the diet. Bananas make me constipated :-( The other problem is that due to the high water content of the meals

After I got the book I started eating 80/10/10 a week ago and am loving it!!!! The dressings that I have tried have been delish! I never thought a green salad could taste so good without added oil. Any ideas you could share for salad dressing recipes that are 80/10/10 friendly would be much appreciated. If anyone has Dr. Grahams recipe book how do you like it? Thanks! Denise

Hello all, I would like to hear from anyone who has experienced healing from either fatigue, insomnia or depression, and/or alcohol addiction. Iv read that these things can be attributed to low neuro transmitters and/or lack of properly functioning adrenals. What I am wondering is if a person is actually deficient in these neuro transmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, etc, and your adrena

Yep!! It is a lot of food alright. I just got the book in the mail couple days a go and having been skimming through it before I start reading from the beginning. I have to say the volume of food surprises me. A typical daily menu is like 2 lbs of food for breakfast, 2 lbs at lunch, and 4-6 lbs for dinner. Wow! The sum total calories is around 2000, give or a take a 100. I think I might b

I love maca!! I would have it every day if I could figure out more ways to consume it. I used to use it daily in green smoothies, but green smoothies stopped agreeing with me. While I was using it I noticed an increase in energy, better mental clarity, and the sex drive definitely went up!!;-) I don't feel there is anything wrong with using it in addition to my whole raw foods, even if only tem

Is anyone familiar with this method of treatment? One of the things I have become aware of since transitioning to the raw/live food lifestyle is that I have had an addiction to alcohol ( I don't buy the theory that it is a disease). In addition I have struggled with an addiction to coffee and sugar. Since going raw the sugar part was relatively easy to kick in comparison to the coffee and alco

I had a CT scan today. I have had one before, pre-raw days, but his time I really felt nervous. I was worried about all that liquid chalk I had to drink, the iodine contrast, and the radiation! I was told there were absolutely no side effects from that liquid chalk, but guess what, it plugged me up big time!! :-( The CT tech said the long term affects of the scan itself it not know! Yikes!!! A

Thank you all for your replies, feedback and various opinions. Mostly I heard that the diet was limiting, boring, required to much calorie consumption, and it makes you cold. Ariel 55 (nice name by the way, it's my daughters name :-) was able to over come some health challenges such as fatigue, ect. by eating this way. The sole reason I feel drawn to try to eat this way is for health, no

I am somewhat familiar with this way of eating from what I have read on this forum, but was not at all interested in trying it because in my opinion it sounded to restrictive (I have only been into raw live food since January 08) However, in my ever quest for for healing I am now seriously considering giving it a shot. I just ordered the book. I just watched an interview with Dr. Graham on lin

I opened a papaya for lunch today and to my surprise found most of the seeds had sprouted inside! Is this a good thing? Well, that papaya was the best, most sweet papaya I have ever tasted!! But I am wondering, are papaya seeds edible? I bought it an an Asian store but it was from Mexico.....go figure. And as a side note I reluctantly purchased a pineapple. Reluctantly because it is so hard

I started the raw food journey Jan 08 in hopes of healing multiple health issues. I have not stayed 100%, in fact I ended up falling off the raw wagon well over a month ago and after several attempts to get back on it, I am finally making my way back. Have been doing pretty good for the past 2 weeks eating mainly raw with some cooked veggies, with the exception of consuming coffee on about three

Thanks all for your feed back. Can I ask what some of you are using to filter your water? I live in an apartment so cannot install anything. That's why I was looking at the counter top style. At this time I am using a cheap one ($34.00) that I bought at the store called a Pur. It attaches to your faucet and claims to filter out 99.9% of the contaminates. I wonder if that is so. Thanks again

Greetings! Does anyone use, or have used the aquasana counter top water filter system? Can somebody offer some feed back on this product? I'm looking into purchasing some type of water filter system and this appears to be a decent product for the price. I would really appreciate any comments good or bad. Thanks in advance! Denise
