64. green tea
does anyone drink green tea? i used to drink lots of it and i miss it.
i had some organic jasmine green tea and just now i opened the tea bags and blended the leaves with 3 dates and some water and ice. It's really delicious...does anyone know whether green tea has already been cooked in a process or not? i am curious.

67. Re: Really Raw
For me, blending makes it easier to consume enough food. If I blended nothing that I ate, I would spend several hours of every day dedicated to eating, just because raw foods are so fibrous and require chewing. I would rather do other things but still want to eat 'real' raw food. So I blend fruits and vegetables, drink them much faster than I could chew them, and I'm ready to go.

71. soking nuts
I read that soaking/sprouting nuts lowers their fat content. Is this true? Does it change the protein content?
Has anyone else heard about this? just wondering...

I have this book too and I thought some of the ideas were really interesting...the idea of the healthiest food being the one that your body can assimilate and then pass through the quickest made a lot of sense. The more efficiently a food can be digested, the easier it is on your body and the less waste it will leave behind.
This book also explained food combining in a way that I actually und

i especially feel more natural and close to the earth, more of a woman, and more of an artist on raw foods.

i've wondered this too...can you still benefit from green tea leaves used in cool/lukewarm water? are the leaves in tea bags not raw?
would be grateful for anyone's knowledge!

80. delicious salad!
I just made a salad and it was amazing, so I had to share!
A whole lot of organic spinach
Strawberries, cut in half
Apple, cut into small pieces
Raisins
Mix those on a plate, then drizzle flax oil, apple cider vinegar and a tiny bit of organic maple syrup over it. delectable! I know fruits and veggies shouldn't mix too much, but it is so good!

Thank you, FruitarianOne, for your encouragement...I'm working on it. I was wondering, what do you eat before and after a workout?
Luna, thanks for your advice...I do feel pretty well, but also a little exhausted still. I've decided to take it a little slower until I can take a real break from training, so right now I'm still including a small bowl of brown rice every day. Almonds and dried

yeah, i think i'm doing pretty well...still have cravings but am working on them. eating raw has also helped me to learn how much i need to eat, and it makes it easier to simply eat when i'm hungry and not eat when i'm not.
I was on the tramp...I went to a different gym where they had a foam pit, so I was doing back and front fulls too so fun!

this is really good stuff, thank you all...i did my first workout after having raw food all day. i didn't feel energetic, but did 3 hours of tumbling and trampoline...I actually threw a couple double back tucks (flips) which I've never done, so that was exciting. Afterwards, I ran part of the way home!
It was strange because I didn't feel buzzing with energy, but my strength was able to sust

I have heard that if you eat enough sweet fruits, your cravings for refined sugar will eventually disappear? Does anyone know if there is truth in this?
And I have also heard the suggestion that drinking water with either lemon or apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning is good because it prolongs your night cleansing time.

Hey all,
My name is Grace and I'm from BC. I'm 17, vegan and I train intensively in circus arts. I've heard about raw food and have tried it out recently and felt pretty awesome...I have a few questions:
I'm 5'3 and about 123 lbs. Much of this is muscle mass, but I would like to lose a bit of weight so that I'll be better in my acrobatics. Raw food seems like an awesome way to go (I could
