Okay, I have spent an hour going through all these threads on blenders and am now more confused than ever over what to buy. I'd like a reasonably priced blender in the $99 to $148 range, plus s/h/tax. I saw a video where a man makes a soup using broccoli, miso paste, and few other ingredients like olive oil and herbs. Is broccoli about the hardest thing you would want to blend? Are th

You can easily avoid hangovers by not drinking too much and only buying tannin free red wines. The one thing I will not give up is my Friday night bottle of red sipped ever so slowly over 4 hours. Life is too short!

That is kosher for a raw foodie? I am referring to the flash frozen ones that come in a bag.

Thanks, but that's not the guy. Looks too tall and way too young. The one I saw was in his mid to late forties and had a beard, IIRC. He started offering courses on RF diets. I subscribed to his mailing list but it seemed to just stop coming after a while.

Hi, I am going crazy trying to remember someone from a few years ago. He had a blog with pictures of himself at 305 lbs on a 5'6" frame. He ended losing 150 lbs in a year on the raw food diet and posted "after" pix as well. I want to show those pix to a friend but can no longer find the site in my bookmarks. Does anyone have any idea who I am referring to?

So I went raw on Sunday the day I started this thread. I feel really good so far. However, I have cheated in mid afternoons by having a piece of cheese. I will work on cutting that out over the next week. I am surprised that I don't need my big two eggs and a potato breakfast to start the day off with.

Is he a bit overweight? If he is and you are losing weight it will make him feel insecure.

What about sushi nigiri? For those who don't know the distinctions? I'd like to have it once a week.

It's a young (white) coconut. This may be my first and last coconut.

I purchased a coconut for the very first time in my life yesterday after reading a raw food recipe which uses them. The coconut came with the shell already removed. However, I have discovered that it's still as hard as rock and none of my knifes will cut it. It's impenetrable. What am I supposed to do with this thing to get it open? Run it over with my car?

The reason I asked for books is that I am concerned about nutritional balance. I don't want to end up sick.

Which of the books on your list would you recommend as the starting point for someone interested in starting asap? I have been thinking it over for a month now and feel as if I could start tomorrow. So I need one good introductory book to get me started. I will read the others as I progress.

I have suffered from SAD for years. Last fall I purchased two full spectrum light bulbs for the lamps in my living room/office. I didn't feel as if I had SAD this winter.

A few years ago I packed on some serious weight going from a normal 212 to about 260. So my main motivation is weight loss and avoidance of health problems that result from the extra weight. What are books you would recommend for someone who has never done this before. I have always liked veggies and fruits and have never been a heavy meat eater, so I can see myself adapting to this lifesty
