Hello Barbara, What a fabulous place! I am very interested in hearing more about what your needs are. I am mature, responsible, vibrantly healthy, experienced in caretaking and property management (including innkeeping for the eco-friendly Inn owned by Living Light Raw Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, California), raw (in varying percentages) for the last eight years, the "detail qu

Hello, I am interested in hearing more about this work/trade. I am mature, responsible, fun loving and vibrantly healthy. I have been preparing raw foods (off and on) for the past eight years. Having studied with top raw chefs has rendered a large number of great recipes. My three fabulous children have provided me with seven sweet grandchildren so I can offer years of experience in that arena.

Welcome NoMoreCook, Two of my favorite raw prep books are Ani's Raw Food Kitchen by Ani Phyo and Raw Food Made Easy For 1 or 2 People by Jenny Cornbleet. Also nice is the one by Cafe Gratitude but am not home to remember the title. Raw food doesn't have to mimic cooked food (ie: pizza and lasagne) just season or sauce. All the best, Celeste

Hello westiemom, I can highly recommend sea veggies from www.ohsv.net. These are harvested on the northern Calif. coast near Mendocino (one of the top 4 cleanest waters in the world) and sun dried (important as some are dried indoors with propane heaters). Run by a wonderful woman! Sea veggies are light weight for shipping costs and a very healthy source of minerals. Blessings, Celeste

Hi, Early on, I was encouraged by hearing that many raw fooders have lapses - sometimes for years - before becoming 100% raw. I think I remember Dr. Doug Graham, now 100% for some 20+ years, saying it took him 8 years to convert. Many find that working to be 80% is a good first year goal and sometimes more "do-able". As Brian said in the previous posting, binges and cravings are a n

Aloha, I moved to Kauai in early August but returned to the mainland as I found it to not e very sustainable. I worked on a hydroponic farm but it was not organic. I was looking for a permaculture community but did not find one. I did find that the "red dirt" so famous in Hawaii is iron oxide and it takes years to make a garden...most of the dirt comes from the mainland at great expen

I would be very interested in working at this farm if someone purchases it. I travelled in CR for a month a couple of years ago and liked this area the best. I spent a week in and around San Isidro de el General. I am looking to make a move in late 2008 or early 2009. Celeste Tanit

Hello, I am interested in hearing about raw communities all around the world. Also about exotic fruits and vegetables that raw foodists have discovered in their travels. If no one has begun a list of people who could accept a raw traveller, that would be nice to compile, as well. I would be happy to do this but could use some technical suggestions, such as particular software for collecting

Hello Angelica, I posted a reply but think it did not go thru so sorry if this is a duplicate... Congratualtions on becoming 100% raw!!! I am wondering if you would answer some questions about Chile and food? I have been thinking that most of the foods raw people eat would grow well in the northern areas. Do almonds, dates, etc. grow at the southern edge of the desert? On the co

I, too, am interested in working on an og farm in Costa Rica, Hawaii, or some other place tropical. Would love to keep in touch and hear about your adventures if you go. I spent a month travelling around the country there and loved it in the mountains (as well as the beaches, but they were more crowded and humid). Celeste

Hello, Was going through the old postings at this website and wonder if you have found other raw foodists in CR. I spent a month there a couple of years ago. I am in transition now and looking to live tropical, at least for the winter. Would need work of some kind but am a licensed massage therapist and could maybe get on at a resort. All the best, Celeste
