Hi jgunn, Just to make it clear: You are using a back and forth between pro-God and anti-God sides as representative of the possible debate on a spiritual forum – however there would be no anti-God side on such a forum (it would be support only).

Hi jgunn, I think you're referring to me. I wrote that in response to all the negative attacks on pro-God posters in the "God is the all-time greatest nutritionist" thread. It was NOT written to debate others who believe in a higher power. If there were a Spirituality and Raw Foods SUPPORT forum, there would be no negative attacks on pro-God posters, and we could discuss spiri

Hi Bryan, Any thoughts on the idea of a "Spirituality and Raw Foods" SUPPORT forum? Thanks.

Interesting swimmer. When I was strictly salt-free for about my first 3 years raw, I was drinking large quantities of vegetable juice and so had no hydration issue, however I did get dizzy spells when standing up from a seated position. But, I've read that that is normal when starting a raw food diet (Arnold Ehret even wrote about it in Mucusless Diet). I had blood tests done then, and everyt

IIRC, Norman Walker discussed the organic vs. inorganic salt issue from a scientific standpoint in his books. I believe it is also a tenet of Natural Hygiene. swimmer, I think this is WAY too "nutritionally advanced" a topic for scientific studies to have been done on it yet. However, if you want to know the truth, simply eat a 100% raw diet without ANY exogenous (added) salt f

I think the best substitute would depend on how long you've been raw, and how strict your diet is. Some suggestions (from least strict to more strict): Manna Bread with choice of nut/seed butter Raw dehydrated crackers with nut/seed butter Zucchini slices with nut/seed butter Also, for a lighter alternative, avocado could be substituted for the nut/seed butter.

EZ rider, you are spot-on in your analysis of salt. My experience over 13 years of eating raw has shown this to be true.

Thanks for everyone's input. To me, the idea that discussing Genesis 1:29 within the context of a raw vegan diet is somehow "religious" is absurd.

As spirituality is an important component of a raw foods lifestyle for many raw foodists, I was thinking that perhaps it might be beneficial to this community to add a "Spirituality and Raw Foods" support forum, which would be designed for spiritual SUPPORT, not debate (just as all these forums are designed for raw foods SUPPORT, and not debate). Many raw food healing centers incorpo

From my perspective, it's clear that religion is a form of spirituality, but spirituality is not a form of religion. Why do people confuse the two? I am asking this sincerely. Thanks.

I ate Manna Bread during my first few years of raw. I think it's a good transition food, but not optimal long-term.

Hi Tamukha, The only explanation I can think of is that this woman doesn't use credit cards, debit cards, or traveler's checks, and so sticks with old-school cash (the total of which was for seven people).

I agree wth suncloud. Humanity has ENORMOUS potential to become much, much more than we are today. However, for the human machine to function as it was originally intended, it must be fed "original fuel."

I think one aspect of genuine enlightenment is the realization that Genesis 1:29 is REAL, and that the living God not only intended everyone to be happy and healthy, but still desires us to return to his Law today (I mean this in a non-religious way).

IMO, any fruit or vegetable that irritates or burns the throat is not suitable for eating raw. Since cooking is not an option for me, I would simply choose not to eat those foods.

If it were a member of my family in this situation, I would recommend colonics to aid with the detoxification. Otherwise, the healing crisis brought on by the raw food and juices may be quite severe.
