Does anyone know if drinking the water and eating the coconut from about 4 young thailand coconuts a day is ok? I I have cut down to 2 a day, but would rather have 4 a day just because they are so yummy and quench my thirst.

aww thanks... yes, I eat an avocado almost everday, plus raw tahini, cold pressed virgin olive oil, and I have flax in my sprouted buckwheat cereal that I just bought. I added some cooked beans, thinking that maybe could get some vegan protein out of that, I eat them cold as a bean salad with avocado, and some raw veggies. I also spouted some chick peas the other day and had some raw tahini which

Are you eating soy? Soy is a goitregen, and slows down the thyroid. A possibility.

When I was eating cooked foods my hair was thick, but I was eating organic vegatarian food for about 15 yrs. ... now I'm eating raw food, approx. 95% and my hair has thinned about 1/2 as thick in only 3 mths. Of course I went from being a vegetarian to a vegan, then started raw organic milk after my hair started falling out... then I quite the milk again, then it has been falling out all over aga

I've been using NutriBiotic Rice Protein powder. It says it is not heated ever during processing over 90 degrees. If anyone remembers my first post, it was about me losing my hair. Well, it started to fall out again. I'm not sure what to do. I'm doing the raw vegan diet, and I'm wondering if adding animal protein would help stop my hairloss. I've never had this problem before, quite the contrary,

I live in Southern California. I'm looking for a roomate who is a raw foodist. The bdrm for rent is a mini-master with its own walk in closet and bath. It's a beautiful home. You must be gainfully employed with references and no pets, smokers or drugs.

Wholesome molasses is also certified vegan. I did my homework after reading that article from the original poster. It is very true that they use animal bone ash to filter many brands of molasses. So the article is correct. From my research, it is the organic brands who don't use bone ash in production. Plantation and Wholesome are the only two brands I know of being certified vegan though.

Wow, is that safe? I've never had that much in one day, but I am tempted too, so that is why I'm asking. If I didn't monitor myself, I'd eat that much easy, because I love tahini, avocados, nuts, seeds and cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. I read that too much fat can make the blood platlets or something, too sticky.. I need to find it again and I'll post it. Please let me know if you have any

Just out of curiousity, to see how my diet compares to other raw folks, how many grams of fat a day do you estimate you eat? I want to eat more nuts and seeds because I'm craving them, but I think already I'm getting about 80 grams of fat already a day. I eat avocado, coconut, nuts & seeds everyday, so I wonder how much fat is too much fat? I'm kind of petite to start with, and really need to

554. Protein
I want to make sure I get enough protein. My family & friends are saying I'm too skinny. I think I lost some muscle mass, because I was on a high protein diet before going raw. I'm lifting weights to see if I can gain some muscle back. Any raw high protein ideas? Thanks!!

I use Plantation Blackstrap Molasses as a supplement. I called the company and spoke to a representitive. He said it is certified vegan organic and he is sending me a vegan certification. Just thought I'd spread the word to anyone who like molasses, although it is not raw, it is a wonderful supplement full of iron, calcium, B vitamins, and other nutrients.

Thanks Therese for your kind letter & help. Please tell me why I need the colloidal silver in the milk. Do the raw milk companies add it themselves, or do I add it myself?

I always have my menses 1 time a mth. Since I've started the raw food diet, I've been spotting and started again 2 weeks after my last menses. Have you had this happen to you? I appreciate all helpful advise. Thank you!! PS. I started drinking organic raw cow milk because I started to lose my hair and felt I needed more protein and b12, which it stopped my hair loss. Not sure if this is the ca

Today and yesterday, I was craving cooked chick peas with arugula. So I guess my diet as of late, has been about 90% raw. I'm new at this, so it's nice to hear what other eat when they crave cooked food.

I forgot to mention that I'm female, 38, and have never had a hair loss problem before. My hairdresser always says "my goodness you have thick hair". I was a Vegatarian for 15 yrs before going raw vegan. About 2 weeks after starting to eat raw foods, my hair started falling out all over the place...all over me, the bathroom counter, floor, my clothes... I was so bummed because I love ve

I've been (almost)100% organic raw for about 2 mths now! I know the body can only digest 2 teaspoons of fat an hour. I eat lots of sprouted nuts, tahini, avocados & fresh young coconut. I eat alot of fat everyday. Can someone please address this and tell me what data supports being able to eat this much fat a day. I also eat lots of veggies, fruit and sprouted chick peas. I recently added
