I'm still a little confused, but your response has really helped clarify alot. i plan to read it again later to more fully absorb what you have explained. I tend to want to do what seems "natural." I suppose that would mean more fruits and less fats, such as what exists in nature. I'll have to think about it. Thank you so much! I do love my avocadoes and coconut oil. (I just ordered

When I use my little Kitchen Aide to make a smoothie with khale, sprouts and fruit, I have a bunch of long fibers in it (about 1.5 inches) that are gross and gag me. Do the blend tec and vita prep cut these up smaller so it is more palatable?

I'm sorry for your frustration. I know from experience how disappointing and frustrating messing up can be. But it's hard to be 100% raw from the start, and for some people it isn't good, because too much, too fast can release too many toxins at once and really mess you up. The point is, that it's not the end of the world. It takes awhile to form new habits, and you need to just keep trying to re

I read somewhere around here that you need to choose between either a high fat/low glycemic diet or a high glycemic/low fat diet. But that was all that was said. Can someone comment a little more about this? I want a high glycemic/high fat diet!

I appreciate your advice. Actually though, the Bragg's ACV is raw. But I suppose it is more processed than plain lemon juice. The link I posted initially was actually one that took you directly to the pro's of ACV. Somehow it changed to an active link to their home page. Oh well. I don't know if lemon juice has the purported curative properties of ACV.

Why do you think it's not just detox? I have been about 70% raw for about a month now, I guess. Maybe 80%.

I'm sorry to be hogging the forum today, but I've been wanting to ask... Did someone state that dried apples and bananas from the store aren't raw?

Thanks for all the response. I'm thinking I'll do a bit of blending (to retain the fiber and whole nutritional content of the food) to get enough greens. Just as a supplement. Alot of what Bryan says makes sense, too. Got Victoria Boutenko's book Green For Life. It's pretty convincing, as well as all of you. I think one thing one has to be careful of is to keep on chewing! If we drink most of our

I'm beginning to be sorry I asked, as it seems to be stirring up a little animosity between people that should be supporting each other. I respect and take seriously the comments of each person, and consider them all in coming to my own personal conclusion, as we all must. Thank you to each of you for your insights. I've learned alot.

I know this will seem like a sacrilege, but I am not convinced that juicing is good for you. It seems to me that it removes the naturally existing pulp fiber from the fruit or veg, concentrates the sugars in the fruit unaturally, and in general just isn't a natural food. I can see blending a little better, because at least then you aren't taking part of the food out, but it still seems unatural.
