What I did in the beginning was to write down EVERYTHNING I eat and drink! I would even put notes on how I felt after eating that food. I hated to exercise too. So I bought a book called "Dumbbells for Woman" and I do 10 minutes every other day. I found this easy and quick and it brought results I wanted. As for eating, I would try to eat raw food all day once a week, and the oth

I have learned in the past 9 months Vegan and 7 months being a raw vegan that I don't knock people who eat SAD. I let them eat in peace and sometimes I'll bring my own raw gourmet dish that they love. My boyfriend of over 6 years and all my friends are SAD. But it's really beginning to bother me. Not only do they eat everything they're not supposed to but they all smoke too. When I b

65. Bananas
Bananas (You might not want to read this if you plan on eating bananas ever again) Here are the reasons bananas are the worst fruits you can put in you body: They are very dampening in the body and unless you are outside in hot climates they will make your body retain water. Their glycemic index is so high that raises your blood sugar way to fast. I tend to want the juicer foods. They are a

I hardly eat olives just for the fact that all store bought olives are not raw. If you order it on line, that's the best way to insure raw olives. I love olives and I think eating the amount of olives you eat is better than being SAD. As for Broccoli, I love it! Sometimes I make my own dressing and pour it on them, or dip and eat tons of broccoli diped in my homemade recipes. As for Av

My step father has bad arthritis, I told my mother exactly what Bryan said and her answer "Oh stop it, how can a person live without dairy!" So I just let it go at that!

I had the Magic Bullet, it over heated and died in less than 6 months. I think it was my fault because I had it running longer than a minute. I went all out and bought a Vitamix and don't know how I lived without one for so long!

Thank you so much for this information! I will definitely try the 60-90 days without it and use more lemon juice. I really like the idea that if "you can't make a meal of it" don't use/eat it. I do have Dr Graham's book, I will look over that page.

I've been noticing that raw vegans aren't using raw ACV. I use a splash of it in my salads every day. Can you let me know why some of the messages I've been reading are against raw ACV. Thanks.

The best book for dressings are in this book: also Bryan posted this: RAW DRESSINGS 1. You take an acid fruit: lemon, limes, tomato, tamarind, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pomelo, pineapple, passion fruit, etc. 2. You take a fatty food: sesame, hemp, sunflower, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, macadamia, cashews, avos, coconut, etc 3. You take a filler veggie: celery, cucumbers

This is what I mostly do for dressing on most of my salads: a pinch of celtic salt Juice from one lemon 1 garlic minced 1 tbs cold pressed oil 1 tsp ginger minced Herb of your choice 1/2 tbs (dill, oregano, italian, or rosemary) splash of raw apple cider vinegar (braggs) 1/2 tsp of ground cumin splash of nama shoyu or tamari (optional) mix all of it together, and pour the whole thin

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question here, but I work in a dealership selling cars and had this curious question. So what does a raw foodist drive? Before I became raw, I bought (and still have) A Scion xB 2005. I love it, it's unique with a red stripe (like a race car - which was on it when I bought it). If this is a silly question, it was only because I feel that people w

Cuisinarts is known to be a great food processor, I don't own one yet but it's on my list. I've seen it used on the computer videos. I have a vitamix that works wonders for most everything.

I read Carol Alt's books, she is not a vegan, she eats raw meats. She mentions she cheats once a week with cooked foods. Though I do like some of her raw food recipes.

I read to my son the story of how Santa Claus got his name. There is a book I borrowed from the library (can't remember the name) but it told the story of St. Nick back in the 1800's who was wealthy and tried to give his money to his needy neighbors. When the doors were locked he went down their chimneys. Until one day he was caught. His name was Nickolaus, but he became a saint for being so

I mentioned once before that I eat raw asparagus from time to time. I chop them in pieces and throw them on my salad for a crunchy taste. One saying I often use in my head "chew your food into liquid, because your stomach doesn't have teeth" That helps so much with digestion!

I work in a automobile dealership. Mostly doing title work, but end up having to sell cars also. I don't like it at all~! I plan on making a major change since I've been doing this 6 years. Oh about the papaya, it looks like yogurt on top, but it could be coconut blended with other ingredients to thicken it. But I don't like dried fruit or oats. I have to admit, I like gourmet still but

Welcome! People want to start eating better but going slowly is best. You can still eat meat and add more raw foods to your diet, but eventually being a raw foodist and getting the whole potential, you would need to be on a raw vegan diet. More info is here:
