Yes, Gabriel Cousens is definitey not low fat. it just has you on very low sugar long enough to sort of reset your blood and body. then you just balance everything out once you have done the phase one no sugar phase.

you are only slowing your detox by not including greens in a juice fast. Might as well add greens in for micro nutrient and health purposes.

it will get easier and easier, until eventually you won't feel any detox from eating low fat detoxing foods. The best thing is to dive right in because otherwise you will just keep feeling icky over and over again. Instead of trying to end the detox feeling. try dealving into it and detoxing MORE. Try a whole day with nothing but green smoothie and shots of wheatgrass. This amps up your detox t

avocados are a super food!! One a day will never hurt you, and will help you. If you are trying to lose weight, 1 avocado a day is all the fat you should ever eat. Their is more potassium in an avocado than in a banana!

thats a good idea! You can let the coconut water go probiotic on its own, but thats a dang good idea to inoculate with the right starter!

basically you won't get all the nutrient out of it if you just eat salads. You need to break down more cell walls to get everything. This is the secret to green smoothies and juice. Green smoothie breaks down almost every cell wall. so you can potentially get lots more nutrients. and yes, I too use hemp protein powder and hemp seeds for protein. even juice has the amino acids you need for pr

right on ! You are doing great! the key to success is accepting that you have never failed, as this is an ongoing experience. I ate cooked food on and off when I felt weak during my first year a little bit. I just picked myself up, dusted myself off and kept going. The only way I could of failed was if I told myself I failed. I have made it to the place where I don't ever want cooked food a

you'll feel your right balance. Nuts and seeds are a great way to amp up your calorie intake, but be careful because they can either make or break you! I find I gain weight if I eat too many nuts. everybody has a different balance. If you are looking to lose weight it helps to temporarily remove most nuts and seeds and fat. Focus on fruit and lots of greens! Over time you will require less calo

the main reason to saok nuts is to neutralize the enzyme inhibitors. Macadamias don't have enzyme inhibitors so they don't need soaking! Generally if the nut has a brown skin, it needs soaking to bring to life. Like almonds, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, walnuts......they all need a good 6-12 hour soak. Nuts like cashews(which aren't raw), or mac nuts or pine nuts etc, these don't need soaking. All se

I will give the base recipe. I also use a very big pan which ends up making a 5+ pound pie! Its a 11.25" pan I think.Maybe 13" I can't remember. Either way you might wanna shrink it a bit. The Crust-You can use any crust you want, but here is mine for this pie. *3 cups coconut shred *2 cups dried figs *1 tbls coconut oil *1/2 tsp salt Blend these together in a food processor, ad

cafe gratitude had to close down at least 4 or 5 locations to defeat the lawsuit. it is based around an ex employee being a mean person. acting like they deserve a piece of the action. only ones staying open i think are the LA location, and one other one not near me. its a cashew and agave type restaurant. and if it doesn't have those in the recipe than it probably has tamari in it, which I s

Such simple minded, short term thinking......... What we see is that every 10 years we realize how silly we are about what we think we know. Like the "we gotta eat cooked tomatoes because of the lycopene". These are generalizations made by people who don't study the raw paradigm yet. If qa person is really that worried about a single nutrient, like lycopene, eat grapefruit and waterm

my twins eat green smoothies, they love the sweet yum yum. They LOVE broccoli and dip. they love fruit. the key is to make em suffer so their palate is hungry! then feed them something yummy like salad. my twins have been 100% raw since birth! so their palates are very green. they eat chlorella tablets and wheatgrass pills like candy! dip, smoothies, fruit, veggies. if they won't eat it,

i just wanna point out the rough hidden info about braggs. Some years ago they had to remove the word raw from the label as it was a lie! The logic behind the production method is so simple and straight forward it is likely accurate. Industrial grade hydrochloric acid is used as a soaking agent for soybeans. doesn't even sound like food to me! i just gotta shout out to my homies, we probably

i love them! even though they rarely actually have truly raw food for a true 100% raw foodist. I don't eat cashews, agave, or soy sauce and that eliminates 90% of most raw food at local restaurants. I live in northern california, so we go to lydias cafe now. our local cafe gratitude closed down due to a lawsuit. its also annoying that most raw places i've been to also sell cooked food. somed

I love garlic.....BUT, Dr cousens has also found that we shouldn't use it everyday as it actually reduces our good biotics in our intestines, and reduces the overall strength of our internal probiotics. I've been fighting the use but dang its so addictive and yummy! He also states that it affects the balance between left and right brain. We should all listen to things with an open mind. And

i started working at whole foods recently! My new step into the health food world. I am the face of the store, dealing with customers as a cashier! This makes me proud as I probably wouldn't have been hired for that when I was obese! I also bought my first puma track suit recently, this is a big deal for me. Puma is on a different level, not nike, not adidas, but OG PUMA ! ! ! ! I grew up on pu

what i left out of my last post is that even in our intestines we produce b-12, and people with healthy, clean, unclogged by bread and meat intestines, have a patch of intestines where we actually absorb our own b-12! that simple. i get b-12 from grasses and sprouts and kimchi/sauerkraut. its also important for balance, that raw vegans pay attention to iron. i have recently upped my iron a l

He doesn't have to write papers, he writes books. if you don't trust 20+ years of research, then what do you trust? Dr. Cousens has his game on lockdown!
