Has anybody experienced bitter or chalky tasting lettuce? I notice Shelton talking about oxalic acid and mustard oil in greens. Are the greens high in these considered unhealty?

My teeth have been sensitive too. They say you have to have total body health to have good teeth. Stress, too little or too much exercise, not enough sunshine, all could contribute. Sometimes I think maybe all the oxalic acid in some greens takes away calcium and other minerals from our body. When a green is bitter might be a way to tell if it has alot of oxalic acid. Are nuts, which

I haven't done any sprouting. I have just recently started reading about it. I read that sprouts have alot of enzymes. If you don't need very many, if any, enzymes to digest raw food, can these enzymes be used for other things in the body? Are there any shortcomings to sprouting, or have you mostly had good effects?

I was reading Shelton today. He was telling how the body needs to be 80-20 alkaline ash, acid ash. Chapter 33 of The Science and Fine Art of Food and Nutrition. How does the body get 20% acid if all of your foods are alkaline ash? That seems to be the case if we're on a raw diet and eating avacados and no nuts.

Greenpeach When you said no salad, are you saying they don't supply alkalies to our body like green juices?

Kathy T I have an exercise tape that has helped me tremendously. It is called Pilates for AnyBody by Theresa Borgrens. I had terrible posture and this tape helped me immediately. Its all floor exercises and the instructor really helps you by telling how to do the exercises correctly.

I found this information today. Archives of Internal Medicine March 28, 2005 Luigi Fontana MD PHD It has long been thought that low bone mass is usually a sign of the bone thinning disease osteoporosis, and that it certainly increases ones risk for fractures. But a recent study at Washington University School of Medicine is St Louis, which published in March 28 issue of the Archi

I read that glycerin in the toothpaste keeps your teeth from remineralizing. When I would use something else like baking soda my teeth would stay stained. When I went back to my toothpaste (no flouride) my teeth would whiten up right away. I would appreciate knowing what others are doing for this.

I have read that menstruating is the body getting rid of the toxins, cleaning the body for the baby. One girl commented she was still ovulating even though she wasn't menstruating. Thanks to Bryan recommending Douglas Graham website I read some information that answered that study on bone density. There's alot of info in the purple bar on his site which answers alot of questions.

I've recently quit eating avacados so much. I had one after two weeks of no overt fats. I would eat them in the evening with lettuce and cumcumber. I will let you know how I progress without them. I don't eat nuts. Nuts give me headaches.

Eating sweet fruit alone will keep them from fermenting in you body. Eating them in bad combinations will hold them up in you stomach causing the fermentation.

The foods we eat are digested and they break down to either an acid or an alkaline end-product in our tissues. This end product is called "ash" and is what remains in the body after the food has been broken down. Foods that produce an alkaline ash are called "alkaline forming food" whereas those producing acid ash are called "acid forming foods." Lemons and lime

I've been eating mono meals of fruit during the day. In the evening I will eat lettuce, cucumber, celery, tomato salad. Do you think there would be a change if I kept that simpler?

I have been reading your information recently and really enjoying it. I have some information written by Shelton and would like to share. It is such an obvious fact that in a state of nature few, if any animals ever receive salt from any source, save from their foods, that it should not require statement. The enormous herds of bison that once roamed the plains of America did not get salt. T
