la-veronique, It said the cheetahs were faster but the leopards were stronger. Also, I think it said other critters like lions and hyenas also will steal from a hard working cheetah. If the cheetah is exhausted from making the kill and along comes someone stronger or a whole group of someones, what can the cheetah do but watch supper go away? Meanwhile it has expended valuable energy on the hu

Yes la-veronique, I am very grateful I do not have to hunt to eat. I guess predators can go through all kinds of trials and failed attempts. They can get kicked etc. in the process and be seriously injured. I have a particular sympathy for Cheetahs from a video I saw. Apparently they often work very hard to catch a meal only to have someone bigger and/or stonger, like a leopard, come and take

One of my blueberry plants is now producing edibles. They are delicious. I have found I must wait for them to become large and a little squishy on the plant before I pick them in order to get them very sweet and ripe. I see why stores often sell them when they are still tart because if you pick them ripe they dont last long unless, of course, you freeze them. But I have no problem eating them rig

Every year I always get a few volunteer tomatoes especially around the compost. The same with squash. I cant remember if the volunteer toms produce like the planted ones though. If you ever start experimenting with varieties there's an heirloom one called 'hillbilly' that's really good. It's a big juicy one. If you slice a round sandwich type piece you get what looks like to me a tie dye

If you like nature, especially birds, you may enjoy Winged Migration. A lot of work went into making it and I felt lucky to get to see it. It's a documentary about some different bird types migrating. I will spoil one thing and say the one bird does not get eaten by the crabs. It may be nature but I still dont like watching anyone ganged up on and preyed upon. In the special features portio

Thank You very much for your responses, they are helpful. I take note of it all because along w/ getting healthier I want to be a better person. When first on raw I'd go about four days completely raw. I'd be at work and my body would say "For heaven's sake, sit down!!!NOW." Also I was starting to have spells of very uncomfortable warmth and then sometimes little chills. Restin

At the New Year I started on raw food. Going 100% has seemed impossible just yet but I'm a pretty good 60%. Before this it would be generous to say I was even 2%. Once in awhile I ate a banana. My diet had lots of butterfat and sweets etc.. One reason for trying raw was that I was fatigued 24/7. I do work full time (plus) and it's a phyical job. But even so I hoped for a little more energy

Hello jes8098 and LikeItOrNot, Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. As far as fertilizing organically I know you can use fish meal or kelp meal. What you dont want to do is use fertilizer with nitrogen in nitrate form since it can kill blueberries.(I went to a helpful lecture during the winter on growing blueberries. I took notes and have loaned them to a co-worker. I am waiting to get my

In my vegetable garden I plant some of those plants that I read the Pests dont bother. I have planted marigolds, chives and basil and they have all been chomped on. In fact they ate the basil completely gone. It looks like it's slugs and/or snails. I want to keep it organic. If any gardeners out there have any wisdom on this I ask for your help. Thanks, Kit They ate all my beans too.

FYI blueberries like to be grown in pots so if you dont have a yard you may still be able to grow them. I planted some this winter and they have flowered and are now forming berries. Can't wait! Kit
