At what time of the day or night do you stop eating? Anybody know how long it takes for the stomach to digest vegetables like celery, romaine, or cucumbers? How long if they are mixed with fruits?

Thanks la_veronique. I have cabbage and parsley and spinach on my shopping list along with celery and romaine and carrots. Will be using carrots to give a taste to the juice and use a bit of spinach and celery, supposed to be very good for ulcers also. I hope something works. What fruits are suggested to eat when one has ulcers?

Thanks to all that have replied! Started Mike's green juice suggestion yesterday. Also started drinking minimum 8 glasses of water a day. As far as fasting I've been told that I am too thin and do not have any reserves for a fast. I'm 57 years old, 5 ft 7 in, and weigh 110 lbs. Been on a 99 % raw eating program since April 17 but still have the problem. Thanks again to all!

Can fasting ever make our health situation worst? Has anyone ever had a bad experience with fasting or is it always a positive experience with a happy ending? Can fasting actually not help a health situation at all? I'm asking this because my acid reflux situation is just not getting better and fasting has been suggested. It could actually be that my valve between my esophagus and stomach just

Curious? Do you drink much water, if you are eating a lot of juicy fruits and vegetables? Tell us what is your experience? How much water do you drink in a typical day? And what kind of water? What do you do to make the life come back to life?

I'm with Bryan on that one. I just ate a little basket of organic figs yesterday and they were delicious. If we listen to everyone we wouldn't be able to eat anything because there's something negative about everything.

I actually called the company that makes the gel and asked how they prepare it and they pasturize it by heating to 180 degrees. Somebody else told me to buy a aloe vera plant and use the fresh gel, then it's raw. Do you think that using fresh aloe has any special health benefits?

It is supposed to have healing properties on internal wounds like ulcers. Has anybody any experience or insight into Slippery Elm? Has anyone ever used it?

Unfortunately, the banans that we get (Canada) are picked green and they will rot long before they will fall off the stem. However, I don't think we could bananas any other way.

Do you think there is a problem with blending fruit with celery or romaine? Or do you think it is better to eat first the fruit, wait an hour, and the the celery or romaine?

Chicory and Genetic Promise, I would appreciate a sample of a daily menu with quantities as I'm not doing too well health wise and eat a lot of fruit since I'm so thin but don't seem to be able to regain my health. Thanks!
