Thank you very much Uti, great info! So i take it you recommend the counter top units from that company. One Multipure model says its one of the few that can filter out Arsenic V. Can the KX Matrix also do that> Also do KX MAtrix filters fit in a Multipure "chassis" or enclosure?

I think I read about KX Industries in Wired magazine. I looked at the lonk you posted but they don't seem to manufacture water filtration units, just the filters themselvbes. I am looking for a countertop water filtration unit. Are your units countertop?

Kombucha can be dangerous for those who are not well versed in it. The Kombucha "mushroom" could be tainted with foreign pathogenic bacteria or as in one well documented case, lead was leached from the container that was used to make Kombucha and the people who drank the Kombucha had to go tot the hospital for lead poisoning.

Mocha are you sure that inulin (which is a soluble fiber known to be very good for probiotic bacterial growth) is a precursor to insulin (which is a hormone)? Intuitively, I don't think they have much to do with each other.

UVB is sunlight is what creates Vitamin D. You only need 15 to 20 min a day of exposure to get enough Vitamin D. I don't think that such a short term exposure will harm you even in a tanning bed.

I heard that sun brewed tea is supposed to be the BEST way to make it.
As for boiling water, it probably boils off all the chlorine and disinfects it but it can get expensive energy usage wise.

Yams are not safe to eat raw. Cooking destroys certain toxins in them. I don't think that they are SUPER poisonous but you might get a negative reaction from them raw.

That is how my juicer burnt out! The "professional" model has a "reset" switch for when it overheats. I guess its similar to what your blender has. I will probably just take it to Radio Shack or whatever it is called now and ask tham for the appropriate components and tools. I will

Hello all! My Breville JE95XL burnt out! From reading the comments on amazon.com this happened before to others. All I need to do is change the fuse. Does anyone know what kind of screws are holding the juicer together? Has anyone changed the fuse before and could possibly give me some advice?

I usually vacuum them because nothing else will work. As far as the bitig goes, some small flies look like fruit flies but are not. You should be careful about that as we had the same problem. The solution? Keep a vacuum cleaner handy until the all bugs are gone!

The Aquasana is VERY cheaply built although filtration is superb. it only lasted one filter change before it broke!
