What is so weird is that I have had once or twice an urge to eat black pepper corns. I ate about maybe an ounce worth. I read once that black pepper is cooked, which is how it turns black.

Be careful with the hydrogen peroxide. I used it straight as a mouthwash and it bleached many of my taste buds off.

phantom, usually the mercury fillings are the silver/mercury ones. If your fillings are the metal ones, they probably are the mercury containing ones.

Shiitake Mushrooms dried with the gills facing up (to the UV rays) are supposed to develop a lot of vitamin D. Not too convenient, I know. I guess you could always go tanning... 15 to 20 min few times a week (three maybe?) is all you need apparently.

Hello all! I have had a bag of Granny Smith apples for about two or three weeks in my car. It is fairly cool now but it does warm up from time to time. Say one day a week. The apples don't seem to be rotting. As a matter of fact, i see no change in them. I know they are very acidic but still... I hope they have not been irradiated. Is this normal for Granny Smith apples?

The patch probably works by supplying vitamin B12 through the skin. Walking barefoot would not work because the B12 that is produced by bacteria is held by the bacteria. You'd have to ingest the bacteria to get their B12. If you plan on supplementing with B12, make sure to get the methylcobalamin form and not the cyanocobalamin form which is a lot less effective and probably not good for you.

I don't know anything about enzyme inhibitors but I have seen that sprouted rice has more protein than "grain" rice. Sprouted rice is considered a complete protein where as "grain" rice is not.

Is the juicer attachment that comes with the Magic Bullet any good? I read reviews that it performs poorly and is not worth using.

All protein is broken down by probiotic bacteria in the intestines. I do not know the exact cycle, but eventually it ends up as flatulence. In the long run however, thed ifferent probiotic bacteria adapt and the effect should the negative effect should subside.

A long time ago i saw a thread on some forum about how the guy selling Tibetan Goji berries was probably grossly exagerating and that Himalaian monks do not as think of goji berries as highly as the people who sell them do say they do. Also Goji berries have "cousins" in north america known as wolfberries... they really do not look much different, I wonder if their nutritional profile i

Aaaack!! You are so lucky! In Vancouver we have a billion asian market but I never saw them. I did see/pick up cherimoyas and mangosteens, but never the black sapotes. Since they are in season now, I guess its worth taking a look again.
