The reason I do not recommend Aquasasna is because they are not built to be durable. Amazon has many complaints about their poor durability. Although it does seem that the price of the Aquasana have come down quite a bit.

Was the so-called worm actually a caterpillar? I wouldn't worry too much about eating them although its kinda gross. As far as intestinal worms go, make sure to wash the apples. They are a different kind of creatures, and won't burrow into the apple. Wikipedia has all kinds of info on parasitic worms which I find interesting. Just make sure to cut your apple in small slices so that if there is

I had the Aquasana and it is a good at filtering water, however it is made as a throw away filter. Mine broke at the base just after I installed the replacement filter. There are quite a few complaints about that at Amazon.com. For that price, the filter casing should las a lot longer. Apparently you can get the filter casing replaced for free if you subscribe to some program. amazon.com should h

From Wikipedia: "Orthorexia, or orthorexia nervosa is a term coined by Steven Bratman, a Colorado MD, to denote an eating disorder characterized by excessive focus on eating healthy foods. In rare cases, this focus may turn into a fixation so extreme that it can lead to severe malnutrition or even death." The question then is weather someone is obsessed or just wants to improve th

Salt is necessary for life for mammals. Herbivores (and some insects) are known to go to "salt licks". The problem with the modern world is that most processed food has added salt to it (in a very pure form to boot, Sodium Chloride, not the mix of salts like sea salt). It is very easy to get too much salt from a SAD diet if you don't watch the ingredients first.

According to Wiki, the latest is that it was not just the melamine in the petfood, but there was also cyanuric acid which, when combined with melamine, forms crystals causing renal failure. So I am thinking that foods that are good to remove kidney stones might help greatly in this situation. Any ideas?

Tap water quality of different regions are different. In Vancouver (B.C.), the water is basically filtered by the mountains and then is chlorinated for safety. Our water is very soft. I still use a filter to get the chlorine out though because the concentrations are getting higher as the the population is increasing. Prism you probably can get a water analysis paper from city hall. You should

Hello all! Ok, our family friend, wh is a woman in her early 60s said that her white blood cell count is below average, however all her other tests come out normal. She has a bit of an infection on one of her fingers that does not seem to go away. She is getting topical medication for it. The weaker stuff works only to stop the infection from progressing, however, it does not seem to ever heal. S

Hello all! I go on and off the raw vegan diet nowadays. When I am off, I tend to eat a lot of sugars and refined flour products as I have a sweet tooth. I have many moles on my back and on my year lobe (at the back edge of the ear lobe). Is there any non surgical way to get rid of them? Thank you in advance for any reply.
