It's great to hear Shannon is back on raw. He can be a great example for raw body builders. I'm pretty sure he has a couple of tips I can use. One day I'm going to get a hold of him. It's strange (then again maybe not) how people would leave raw, after doing it for some time, and go back to cooked food then after a while would find themselves back again on the rawpath. It happened to me too.

Bryan says>Anaerobic exercise is the key That's true. I find weight lifting helps tremendously. Do 2 or 3 body parts each day and press them to failure. I mean really take them to failure. That's what I do. This I find helps me to build more quickly than an all body workout where the individual muscles do not get as much pressure. Rest 1 day after completing the whole body then start again

The Shannon link you're looking for is: then when you access the web site, click on PICTURES on the left then click on BEFORE AND AFTERS PICTURES & STORIES OF RAW FOOD ENTHUSIASTS then scroll down to SHANNON and you got it. I tried to copy the address to go to the page directly, but apparently all lead to the main page.

Rawrnr, -See if you can find other raw fooders in your area to get moral support from. -Eat mono. -People overeat, because food makes them feel good( at least for the moment),to compensate for other issues in their life that's making them unhappy.Try to find any such issue and address it. Hang in there. People have done it and so can you.Best of luck. Brian

Rawrrr, You say I'm vicious? Then what word must we use for Arugula's comments, such as commenting on the smell of Asians, the using of feces to fertilize plants by Indians(vis-a-vis my grandparents),the looks of people who posted their pictures, visible sun damgage on Bryan's skin(I don't know what she is talking about,I don't see anything) and so many other contentious things(in this and

Can you imagine Arugula on a date? Guy: Let's take in a movie. Arugula: Well, accordingly to the latest studies(which I have researched intensively) germs abound in cinemas. So that's out of the question. Guy: oh..umm..Let's go on the beach. Arugula: Definitely not going there.Do you know what research have shown on the dangers of exposure to UV radiation. Guy:

Does anyone know where these coconuts are coming from? Is it from out of the US? If so,can we be sure that they aren't treated in any way? Thanks for the info. Brian

Raised Raw? Not in the least. All cooked, all SID(Standard Indian Diet) of rice, curry etc.Sure we ate fruits but that was about the only thing that wasn't cooked. Due to the influence of my Dad we ate chicken, fish and lamb because I sensed he thought that the Indian way of vegetarianism was old fashioned and the western way of eating meat was healthier.Thankfully I didn't find it difficult to retur

Upon reflecting a little on the Pee Drinking Debate(p dee dee) I find people fall in different categories. Here are some of them: 1/ There are people who when faced with serious illnesses will try anything to get better as in "a drowning man will clutch at a straw". 2/There are people who won't try some things under any circumstance. 3/There are the Curious who will try anything just

That's great,Arugula.Congrats, and I mean that sincerely. But I still hold to the opinion that success on raw eating is sometimes marred by people's obsession to immerse themselves in too much scientific information while forgetting that good health is heavily dependent on tuning in to your body's needs and signals and not giving it some specific predetermined amount of food(calories/nutrients).Rem

Arugula>It has been discussed that fertilizing one's produce with human excrement >and possibly that of animals can stave off a B12 deficiency. -I guess you discussed that with the voice that you're hearing in your head. -You said in a previous post"Those are the people who are most likely to post their pics" meaning the better looking people. So I say that maybe that's the rea

Arugula> But we have a lot of people who have "messed up" signals >from a lifetime of bad habits in a toxic food society. >So it doesn't always work. It always works and doesn't take long. Arugula> Also some people who limit >fats on a raw vegan diet will have difficulty getting >enough kcals. Speak for yourself.I already asked you to post your pict

My opinion is that one should not bother with counting calories. One should observe one's body closely and interpret the signals given.I say, eat when you're hungry and eat until you're satisfied. You cannot pour a bucket of water into a cup and expect the cup to hold it and you cannot pour a cup of water into a bucket and expect it to be full.2000 cals(or any amount) is just a figure and if it's n
