Have your blood check for not only the Iron levels but your ferritin levels. Most Doctors and or labs only check the Iron level but should check the more accurate ferritin level. If the Ferritin number (should range between 80 to 440 ml) is low then your Anemic.

shep252: "Well, now I am roasting. (There is no heat on either.) But I started to take kelp again" Coldness in hands and feet can be related to an underfunctioning thyroid (Hypothyroid). I don't question you having this but when you said that by eating/taking kelp you seemed to be hot/normal again. This is an indication of low Iodine levels which causes the thyroid gland not to fu

I ask this because there's several books (I believe there's 6 books now) on the subject of Acid & Alkalinity (they all state or claim how fruits, especially sugary fruits are very acid forming). There's also Victoria Boutenko book: Green for life (it talks about eating/juicing/making smoothies on 80% greens/veggies).

Fruitarianism (just living on fruits). I'm asking because I don't think there is. I'm also talking about a fruitarian book that just covers fruits. Not a rawfoods book that lists fruits or uses fruits as part of the diet (80/10/10 or 30% veggies, 30% fruits, or 33%/33%/33%, Etc.). Just eating fruits and nothing else.................................... Anyone?

True, some of the Cliff bars have roasted nuts but not all. I guess it comes down to your own personal preference (Cliff's organic or Lara's bars that aren't organic). Lastly the Raw Revolution raw organic bars are the best: Raw Revolution Best of both worlds; Raw and organic. I really like the Spirulilna & Cashew Raw Revolution Bar

Those are some great testimonies. I guess I'm one of a few people who has had a reverse affect on eating rawfoods and getting or creating a bad (under functioning) thyroid. I don't know where I went wrong.......

Helen, What foods do you eat that have helped you in your journey? "I eventually went from 2 grains of Armour Thyroid down to 3/4 grains. I truly believe if I could get to 100% raw, I will be off of all of the Armour Thyroid!!!! I have read numerous testimonies of people who got off their thyroid meds after going 100% raw." Does Armour help with the Adrenal gland also? Or is

I guess I do read into things very (and I mean very) carefully. I just don't see the High praises some of these fruits are getting when they should be more readily available. Heck, you can even buy a Wild Oat's brand of Goji Berries. Now that seems to raise an eyebrow!!!

What do you like and dislike about the World Wide Web/Computer/Internet? A CON for me is all the fallacies and misconceptions out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another CON is how much the Internet has become a gateway for child harming & pedophilia. A PROs would be reading/meeting nice people (at least I think on here anyways). Another Con is the search engines (google, yaho

If these Fruits are great then why so hard to get the actual fruit fresh in the states? Like, I'd really like to try fresh Goji berries but I live in Utah. Mangoes, papayas & cherimoyas where once hard to get in Utah and where praised highly with claims but now you can get them any place and are just a regular fruit like apples. Are any of these (noni, acai, goji, mangosteen) available

$142 may seem high but they check everything. TSH, FreeT3, FreeT4, DHEA, Cortisol/Adrenal. I'm actually going to do this test again because you can compare each tests online Again, I highly recommend this saliva test because it's more accurate than blood testing.

There are other factors involving the Thyroid. How's your Cortisol/Adrenal gland? Adrenal fatigued can lead to weight gain or hard to lose any weight. If you haven't done so already I would highly recommend doing the Saliva tests over the blood tests for TSH, T3, T4, FT3, FT4, DHEA, Cortisol/Adrenal. The Saliva tests are more accurate. Because my blood tests were normal but saliva test

One thing I find strange with the high fruit diet is if you/I/anyone who eats mostly fruits and experiences problems then the blame is on the fruit choices. My question is what fruits do you people who follow on a high fruit diet eat. Examples: Avocadoes and Durians are fruits but most fruitarians claim these are a questionable fruit and shouldn't be eaten. Others would be the nightshade fruit

I usually soak the cashews or any nuts for a 24 hour period and the cashews started sprouting tales (a small curled tale at the end) about 11 hours when I began. Other places I've bought raw cashews would, after soaking them turn slimy then turn black or a greenish color. I'm sure there's other places that have truly raw cashews like NFL does but I only have a WebTv (slow, very slow), so

I use to eats tons of food listed below but now I watch it because my TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) was a little high (it was 5.8 and should range between .3 & 3.0). I was stunned with this because I loved kale (all 3 kinds). So I cut out certain veggies/my liking for kale and my TSH is normal again. It can be tough because I alwasy also just looked at the great benefits of certain foods

120. Re: salt
Everyone’s different and some people need salt or the iodine (especially if someone's Hypothyroid) found in salt. I use Kelp and Dulse seaweed because they both are close to salt in taste and have many beneficial properties. Salt is and always will be a topic of discussion, like what Davidzanemason said about protein and B-12. Fats (nuts, oils, seeds) could fall into this category as well.
