using juice? I use to think that a juice fast was a sufficient fast but now water or nothing at all is truly a fast because with juice your body is stilling having to digest something, yes/no? Also, with fasting doesn't this slow down the metabolism? It's everywhere (books, internet, etc.) that if you eat small but frequent meals will speed up the metabolism.

Fruitarian One do you eat the rind or the peel of fruits? Kiwi and mangoes are easy to eat the skin but I will sometimes eat even though bitter the lemon and orange peels. I also eat the rind of a banana.

I got this from an Email, The benefits of eating bananas: Bananas, containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose, combined with fiber, give an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes

Everyone’s definition of rawfoods is different and or the foods they chose to eat. Some people do and some people don’t eat miso, stevia, fermented foods, nama shoyu, sprouts, herbs, honey, raw apple cider vinegar, dried fruits, hummus, cacao beans (chocolate), raw carob, raw sugarcane, raw maple syrup, agave nectar, lecithin, seaweeds and Celtic sea salt. I've had some of these above bu

dream earth, I'm confused to what your stab is towards me? I said that for a couple of years I was in perfect health (my diabetes A1c was/is in better control than most non-diabetics and it still is in great control), no problems and high energy but in the last 2 years it's been a real struggle. My post has nothing to do with being negative towards living-foods/rawfoods as I thoroughly enj

I started eating living-foods in late 1999/early 2000 and I was experiencing wonderful benefits, so much energy I could run a marathon (actually I did run a 20k). I didn't need much sleep like 4-6 hours. I was always following a 100% or close to 100% rawvegan diet. Everyone’s definition of 100% is different. I did not use honey or ate fermented foods. I ate fruits (mangoes, pears, tomatoes, cuc

Rawsome I should have ask you this before but; Have you had your ferritin level tested? Ferritin: Ferritin is an iron-protein complex found in most tissues, but particularly the bone marrow and reticuloendothelial system. Clinically, its importance is: as an acute phase protein as a non-specific index of liver disease its close relationship to body stores of iron. Thus a low seru

It's crazy because my homocysteine and B12 blood work was normal but my MMA B12 urine wasn't... I also had/have those symptoms of anemia. I experience cracking around the mouth, dry lips, dry skin, weak calf muscles (twitching/trembling), and left eye twitching. I've been taking a Cal-Mag-Zinc supplement and didn’t help at all. So my ferritin is low and B12 is low. Again, I've been eat

My ferritin (iron) level was/is extremely low and I've been eating living-foods for 6 years now. I'm having my B12 MMA (Urine sample and not a blood sample. Urine B12 is more accurate than a B12 blood serum check) tested. "Testing B12 status A blood B12 level measurement is a very unreliable test for vegans, particularly for vegans using any form of algae. Algae and some other plant foo

If they have a brown outer shell & the nut is yellow then I eat these all the time when in season. They are my favorite nut because of the chewy/soft crunch texture and to me has a small vanilla flavor.

On Fitday after entering everything you've/I've eaten where does it show the total (everything I've entered) mineral/vitamin contents? Or does it only show mineral/vitamins content by each item you place? Also this is very limiting to what you've actually eaten (like size or quantity). Like the nuts (I definitely eat less then the allowed amount). I see the carbs/proteins/fats/alcohol total.

I have the 2 hp L-equip 228 rpm blender and it has lasted me 5 years now. It only costs around $135. Compared to the Vitamix, the Vitamix outperforms it barely. Heck you can buy almost 4 of these compare to one of Vitamix. I like the 228 because of the cost, closely performs to the vitamix, metal steel blades--metal to metal teeth (base and blender together) and has a 6 year warranty.
