well as some of you know i have this fruit tree planting mission, well at the end of my street is about 30+ acres of property that belongs to the sisters of st.mary's mission, it used to be a residential school , but its been long time empty.

well i was out last night putting in 6 little apple trees that i got for a SMOKING good deal from a nursery because they are kinda charlie brownish but in my mind they are still very viable trees and im sure they will produce nicely with just the right amount of TLC

well along comes a cop , apparently someone had phoned in about person lurking around the back of the grounds (me lol) the cop came up and he was really rough at first after i explained what i was doing the guy started cracking up and had never responded to a burgler call where the person was planting fruit trees willy nilly around the neighborhood (he thought he was going to be dealing with someone planting marijuana plants haha)

anyhow he gave me a warning and HIS address (in case i had the urge to plant a cherry tree, he said he really loved a cherry tree growing up in his yard) woo hoo !

he also gave my phone number to the manager of the property who called me this morning to advise me that i can plant all the trees i want as long as i keep them to edge of the property lines

so how cool is that ! i got busted for tresspassing for the purpose of planting !

Great Jodi. I envision the ultimate in agriculture somewhat along those lines. But all with plants raised from seeds. This way a genetically diverse community of plants can evolve for the better; to resist disease and insects and produce new and better fruit. A do nothing agriculture where seeds (or their seedlings) are planted in the wilds to grow fruit for whoever comes along.

That's great Jodi! Wow, the cop is cool, and the owners said you could plant all the trees you want. I think that must be some good karma!
