I used to do a lot of aerobics and what not in the late 80's and early 90's with Charlene Prickett's "It Figures" program.

One day she said "There's nothing more delicious than a loose pair of jeans". For some reason it has stuck with me. Deep, I know.

"One can't believe impossible things," said Alice.
"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen.
When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day.
Why, sometimes I believed as many as six impossible things before
breakfast!"....Lewis Carroll

"...the psychology of this country... It's the radio, you see. The radio makes everyone feel the same thing at the same time. Instead of millions of various thoughts, one big psychological fixation. The radio commands our gut response."

The Lacuna, Barbara Kingsolver.

Please substitute the word 'television' for 'radio' and you will understand why I think TV is the ultimate evil.

It is what we become in action.

These new ideas, in turn, can alter the neural circuitry that

Here are some from Dr.Seuss:

A person's a person, no matter how small.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself, any direction you choose.

Today you are you, that is truer than true.
There is no one alive who is youer than you.

From there to here, and here to there,
funny things are everywhere.

Wow. Not nice.

This is pborst's new signature, it's lovely:

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I particularly like this line, it's meaningful to me at the moment:
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends.
