Grave of Buckminster Fuller Written on his gravestone - CALL ME TRIMTAB -Bucky

The engineer Buckminster Fuller is often cited for his use of trim tabs as a metaphor for leadership and personal empowerment. In the February 1972 issue of Playboy, Fuller said:

Something hit me very hard once, thinking about what one little man could do. Think of the Queen Mary—the whole ship goes by and then comes the rudder. And there's a tiny thing at the edge of the rudder called a trim tab.

It's a miniature rudder. Just moving the little trim tab builds a low pressure that pulls the rudder around. Takes almost no effort at all. So I said that the little individual can be a trim tab. Society thinks it's going right by you, that it's left you altogether. But if you're doing dynamic things mentally, the fact is that you can just put your foot out like that and the whole big ship of state is going to go.

So I said, call me Trim Tab.
—Buckminster Fuller

The official newsletter of the Buckminster Fuller Institute is called "Trimtab".

When performing any act of kindness, do it in honor of the Universe, not for any individual. People will disappoint. That is their job as our teachers. But the Universe will never let us down.

The Universe will always bring assistance. It is we that chooses to reject the form that it shows up in. The same with Love. The Universe always brings us Love. It is we that choose to reject the form it comes to us in.

“You see, the Globalists are attacking everybody but themselves. You got to understand how Full-Spectrum Dominance works from the top of the pyramid. The Eye of Sauron is Death - it’s attacking everything. I guarantee you folks you could have 20 Globalists on a Space Station 20 years from now, 15 years from now if they nuked the whole earth and it was inhabitable and they go up there to the Google Emergency Space Station for the Elite they say they’re building, by the way, that’s main stream news, I don’t know if they’ll build it, but they’re talking about it, they’ll be killing each other over who gets the biggest area in the Space Platform - I guarantee. That’s the nature of these people. Hell would be being locked up with these people forever. But good people have a giant blind spot to Psychopaths and Sociopaths because we don’t operate like they do. Well, we need to start studying Psychopaths and inbreed genetic Psychopaths, like Royal Families - the Rothchilds - the Rockefellers.” -Alex Jones

“To pray is to regain a sense of the mystery that animates all beings, the divine margin in all attainments. Prayers are our humble answers to the inconceivable surprise of living. It is all we can offer in return for the mystery by which we live. Who is worthy to be present of the constant unfolding of time amidst the meditation of mountains, the humility of flowers - wiser than all alphabets, clouds that die constantly for the sake of his glory. We are hating, hunting, hurting. Suddenly we feel ashamed of our clashes and complaints in the face of the task of glory in nature. It is so embarrassing to live. How strange we are in the world and how presumptuous our doings. Only one response can maintain us - gratefulness for witnessing the wonder, for the gift of our unearned right to live, to adore and to fulfill. It is gratefulness which makes the soul great.” -Abraham Joshua Heschel, “I Asked for Wonder: A Spiritual Anthology”

My auntie just turned 90, I've been thinking about age lately. She's still so young and vibrant while I've met some 30 year olds lately that seem ancient!
