Date: October 18, 2011 03:24PM Have you guys checked out Daryl Hall's gig lately? He's still putting out great music, and having some very talented guests every month.
[www.livefromdarylshouse.com] Some of the guests are: Fitz and the Tantrums, Mayer Hawthorne, Grace Potter, Sharon Jones...The latest show is Daryl's new disk. Well worth a listen! There is a new one every month, new musicians, as well as some greats. Have fun! Re: Live from Daryl's house

Date: October 19, 2011 02:29AM What about John Oates? What--is he chopped liver or something? Art Garfunkel to his Paul Simon? That other dude from Wham! who got kicked to the curb by George Michael? Re: Live from Daryl's house

Date: October 19, 2011 05:02AM Kicked to the curb? Not at all. They have a band, still play together, and did a tour last year, but also do their own thing. This is Daryl's project, and John joins in on some of the shows.
Did you check out the shows? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/19/2011 05:02AM by swimmer. Re: Live from Daryl's house

LOL, that you call him "that other dude" shows how far his perfectly coiffed star has fallen! Andrew. Andrew Ridgeley. Wake me up! before you go go! I loved Hall and Oates as a girl, but I was instinctively creeped out by Daryl Hall. Let's see if that's changed--off to his channel! Re: Live from Daryl's house

Date: October 20, 2011 02:26PM Nope, still creepy! His meeting his mirror image in this latest episode was extra special creepy! Now there are two Daryl Halls roaming the earth--ack! Seriously, he strikes me as being Kid Rock's soberer, neater, more professional uncle, visiting from out of town.
The music, however, is great. He's like an American Jools Holland. Except not spazzy I really did love Hall and Oates as a tween. A childhood friend of mine had every one of their records, obssessed, he was. We would put them on, carefully, so as not to scratch them, and act all cool n' stuff. And I did clap along, ha! "I Can't Go For That" is still one of my favorite songs . . . Thanks for posting this, swimmer! Re: Live from Daryl's house

Sorry, I knew you would be freaked by that opening after I read your post. One of the things I always liked abut Hall and Oats is how the always spoofed on themselves in videos, and never took themselves, fame, or success too seriously. banana who, I'm glad you're having fun! Keep listening guys. Check out Fitz (I'm in love with Noel!), Eric Hutchinson, KT Tunstull, and Eli Paperboy Reed! Good Stuff! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
