Date: January 22, 2012 07:49PM This is weird but I remember my dad reading me a book about a little girl whose father buys tofu every day...They were Japanese...strange thing is that this was in the early '70s and it was when tofu wasn't commonplace. I just remember feeling this wonderful feeling inside when he'd read it. I think he checked out from the library more than once. I would love to read that one again! Also, the Bobbsey Twins (LOL) and Nancy Drew I LOVED that series!!!! Especially the orignial ones from the earlier years...Fun times. Re: Favorite childhood stories.

Date: January 26, 2012 03:43PM I remember one about a racoon,a rabbit,and a rock.
"Scary Rock" I think it was called. I liked the "Happy Hollisters" books too. Then there was one, "Night Visitor" or something, about a man who would lose pieces of fruit during the night,so he set up a camera, and got photos of a bat flying in his kitchen stealing the fruit. Pretty cool how you can remember books from the 4th grade. Vinny Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/26/2012 03:46PM by eaglefly. Re: Favorite childhood stories.
