disneyland would be filled to capacity

and knots berry farm would get the overflow

and maybe chuckee cheese could also get in on the action of fathers taking their kids out for pizza

women would realize how wonderful men are

and all misconceptions would be cleared once and for all

everyone would be happy

and there would be world peace

But in all seriousness, maybe women would have one less excuse to continue justifying the unfair advantage they possess in custody and divorce cases. Maybe men would stop committing suicide at 4 times the rate of women. And maybe, just maybe, somewhere in the "men are useful" scheme, men could actually express themselves instead of being stifled by smarmy, insensitive women. How does that sound?

i wouldn't know
you need to ask men what is going on

including the male judges that preside in most divorce cases

i have no idea why men continue to buy into conditioned destructive behavior

ask yourself

you're the expert

I think this poem speaks for us men.
Some how I think the earth would be in better off if we never showed up for work again. Our worked has fuged up mother on a whole.

I know what men are

By Richard Macwilliam

I know what men are.

Men drink and are routinely unfaithful,
Can’t see beyond the ends of their dicks,
Have faces like hams and wrinkled cardboard
Or are bold, sweaty and frightening -

I know what men are.

Men drive fast cars,
Like motorbikes,
Will kill for the sake of twopence,
Shoot off their mouths,
Fart, bellyache and grumble.

I know what men are.

Men are insane,
Out of control,
Vicious,
Or ‘poofy’, ‘pansies’,
Vain and vainglorious.

No no no!

I know what men are!

Real men are the ones that don’t buy the magazines that say these things,
Don’t go down to the pub for a mindless drink,
Can even (apparently) occasionally think!

I know what men are.

Men cuddle babies and can stand up for themselves in fights
With their wives (and sometimes win).

Men are prepared to challenge:
Preconceptions
Misconceptions
Adulterated thinking,

Men
Will go the extra mile
(Not always on a motorbike, but it helps),

Men
Like to be cuddled, caressed and have loving, faithful sex,

Men like emotions,
The crisp leaves of autumn.
Cats.
Machines.
The sky.
Stars.
Buildings.
Women.
Love.
Fishing.
Being,
Staying at home.

Men are not monsters.

I know what men are.

Men like to be involved.

They like passion and commitment.

They like fun and horsing around
(Though not necessarily horses),
Men like little children (not always to eat),
They know how to change nappies,
Tell a story
And create dreams.

Men are brilliant!

I know what men are.

Riverhouse Bill, I love that poem! smiling smiley

It always makes me nervous when people say things like "Women are this, men are that..."

It's prejudiced thinking and I believe it can typically be traced back to the usual suspects: Mommy and Daddy. If you had either a lousy or non-existent relationship with either parent, it can warp one's view of that gender. If you are a Water sign, (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces) add a huge smidgen of subjectivity to add to that bigotrywinking smiley

I don't know. I simply brought up a topic. I think that it's interesting when women respond to the hate faction of feminism by daring to suggest that men might be useful. I appreciate it and try to spread it around, to try to give voice to people who are truly about equality. I find it even more interesting when women respond to women like "judgybitch" like you did. You responded with sarcasm. You could have left it alone, but no, you took the opportunity to be harsh and masquerade it as humor. I have no clue why this board insists on being so cruel to certain people. Couldn't you just leave my thread alone? Seriously. I leave your "poetry" alone. We all have our own things, Why not just let them be?

no capital letters, incorrect grammar, sloppy syntax does not constitute "poetry"

but thanks anyways
i'll take that as a compliment
