Date: February 24, 2008 05:23AM hi el natural
thanks for the good news ( i needed to hear some lately) what are you going to play on it? i like "Sleepwalkers" i heard an electric guitar version of it on youtube i think it was supposed to have been a song that was done in the 50's ( i think) by carlos and santos anyhow... it sounded great and best of all, it has no words to it ( or at least i don't think that song does... sometimes i like songs that have no words the best) Re: YES!

Date: February 24, 2008 05:48AM There's a youtube song by the lead of pinkfloyd. It's just instrumental, that's close to the style I would play. I like jazz cords. I don't like heavy metal ect. Just easy listening. I will find that video and post it.

Date: February 24, 2008 04:52PM For guitars out of the box I like PRS. So mine is very close looking to a PRS double cut with a drop top. I'm using Seymour Duncan Humbuckers. The Strat sound for me is too brillaint. I will find a way to post pictures when its done.
Are you in a group Thoumas? I realy want to find other at least vegan or rawfood musicians. These animal eaters realy sent me a whammy this last week. elnatural Re: YES!

I'm in a band called Union of Lanterns. We're a foursome, two guitars/vocals, one bassist, one drummer. Everyone but the drummer is a vegan, interestingly enough! just add ".com" to the band name (with no spaces) and you'll find our website if you ever feel like checking it out! I look forward to the guitar pictures! and the Gilmour vid was awesome Re: YES!

Are you the guy in the black shirt front, or white shirt behind? Nice clean positive sound you have. Good mix of accoustic and electric. In DQ your strat doesn't sound like one. In the 3rd you seem to have a keboard. Any youtube videos of the group? I will get pictures and sound files. I can't wait to be in a group! elnatural Re: YES!

that guitar looks killer, man!!! it may very well be the only raw-foodist-made guitar! how exciting! I'm the taller one... I have a Toneworks pedal that has 30 different customizable effects that is the only pedal I own... I used it for DQ and use it for all of my other electric guitar needs. Yes, there's definitely some keyboard/synth action going on in some of the songs, I did all of that too! Thanks for checking us out... there are a few vids of us performing at an awesome local venue called "the Boathouse" on YouTube. Just search for "Union of Lanterns" there and you should find them (I should put a link on the website, thanks for the reminder!) Talk to you soon! Re: YES!

Date: February 27, 2008 01:18AM the original we played was "Don Quixote", although we did it acoustically (two acoustic guitars and two voices, unlike the full band version from the album/mySpace page)...
it's basically a song about doing the right thing even when everyone else thinks you're out of your "frickin" mind... it tends to go over pretty well, and it's fun to play! Re: YES!

Yes, marooned and other such wordless music that enhances.......... I created a logo for myself using my intials of AM The A is in the center of the M and looks like an A with wings. Yesterday I inlaid the logo on my guitar fret board. Pictures may be up tonight. Was hoping to have the whole thing done today but sereral things have prevented that. Today I will be putting the frets and tuners on. elnatural Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
