Date: August 05, 2008 01:35PM Hey guys. I'm constantly asked about how to deal with cravings on a raw diet, so I thought I'd write up an article on the subject. It's something I've spent a lot of time researching, and I hope what I've learned can help you.
The article can be found here: [www.raw-food-health.net] Re: My Suggestions for Dealing With Cravings

Date: August 05, 2008 09:37PM Got a craving? Eat fruit. Want cake? Eat more fruit. Nachos got you tempted? Stuff a banana in your mouth.
!!!! !!!! I love it. But THIS: “It took me a long time to realize that, essentially, I’m in a relationship with food, and that what ended up happening was that I love all food. But all food didn’t love me back. And I much prefer to be in relationships with people who love me as much as I love them. " This is excellent. Thanks for sharing RustyBo Re: My Suggestions for Dealing With Cravings

Date: August 05, 2008 11:46PM Isn't mixing fruit with other raw foods in the same meal supposed to be bad for digestion? I've always read that it's a good idea to wait a couple of hours before having fruit for dessert...something about the fruit digesting faster and then sitting on top of your still undigested meal fermenting.
Personally my stomach gets a little upset when I grab a handful of grapes or something right after eating. Everyone's different I guess. ~lanie Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/05/2008 11:53PM by Lanie. Re: My Suggestions for Dealing With Cravings

> patty Well that would make sense. Come to think of it, I've heard that before. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the reminder Patty. I actually do use apples to sweeten up my green smoothies but they don't seem to bother me like other fruits. Hmmm...wonder why. ~lanie Re: My Suggestions for Dealing With Cravings

Date: August 07, 2008 10:16AM I have found that fruit, especially the melons, eaten on an empty stomach, really reduce cravings of any sort throughout the day.
