Re: Why do people hate those who are different?

I don't think people hate those who are "different". I think people in general are turned off by the way people go about whatever it is that makes them "different".

Vegans and Vegetarians wouldn't get so much crap if they didn't go around judging other people for eating meat and making comments and faces. Fine, don't eat meat..that doesn't mean you have to sit there bragging about it and going on about all the "problems" with it while another person at Thanksgiving dinner is shoving turkey in their face,

There's a few people on the raw food forums that I don't even bother reading their posts anymore because it's always the same thing. Someone asks a simple question and gets irrelevant answers because they feel like saying what "they" do and make an attempt to belittle your question. Raw Foodists are supposed to be so much above everyone else and happier, yet they're still trying to be compeitive about it. They have the "My diet is better than yours" attitude just because one person blends and another juices. Just like a cooked vegetarian can shove Mcdonalds french fries in their mouth while thinking they are "better" than the guy eating chicken nuggets.

Just to answer the title of this thread - Same thing. It's not just limited to food. I made an "enemy" on a soap opera forum because someone there favors an unpopular couple on the show.. She brings it up in almost every single thread. I said something about it and she took it as me "hating on her" because I "hate" those 2 people together. Uh no, everyone is sick of seeing it in every thread which is why nobody replies to it.

Point is - nobody really cares about you and your "differences"...but you. Until you start shoving it in people's faces.

It's not so much hating on those who are different.

It's hating the unnecessary unspeakable cruelty.

I don't care if people eat vegan junk food. I don't care if they smoke, drink, get fat, get diabetic, whatever floats their boat so long as it's plants.

But I hate killing animals for food.
