Date: December 19, 2010 09:19PM Hey guys, i thought id let you know ive just launched a vegan blog incase anyone was interested. Hopefully the content will interest some of you guys at least lol. I will try my hardest to make every article as good as the last and accurate scientifically as always.
[vegankingdom.co.uk] Will do some competitions and such down the line. I wont be posting a link here every time i do an article as this isnt what this site is for in my opinion so if anyone is interested bookmark now haha. The layout isnt totally finished but ive had the time to do a few posts already, im not the best at grammar so forgive me hopefully its readable enough, my spelling is good but ive had comments on my grammar from the grammar police before. Thanks for the add flipperjan, them pumpkin pictures are amazing, how did you manage to get so much variety? I love pumpkins, made alot of vegan curry and other recipes with them last autumn, that big one would have lasted me ages lol. Its funny you called it Alma instead of Amla, this is very common for some reason, infact i even seen a vendor call the product alma instead of Amla. My bank or any marketing place that phones me always calls it Alma too lol. Re: My Vegan Blog

Date: December 24, 2010 08:49PM How about an article on water... tap water vs filtered vs distilled vs spring, etc. Drinking it, bathing in it, making meals with it...
An article on iron in the raw diet would be super, too. Re: My Vegan Blog

I didn't realize you said in the raw diet or the article would have been more tailored to that rather than vegan as a whole but pretty much most of it can apply to a raw vegan diet too as per the non-heme + vitamin C for absorption etc. Hopefully its of some use to you - [vegankingdom.co.uk] Cheers Edited 1 time(s). Date: December 27, 2010 05:49PM Great! I am chronically low iron no matter my diet (I did follow a therapeutic high red meat diet at one time in my life when I was so energy-less as to be nearly immobile but to no avail). I think that juicing some iron rich foods daily would be a great way to up my intake to good levels.
Want to talk some more about D and B-12 supplements? What to look for, what is most useful to the body, what to avoid, etc. I've read contradictory things about the amount of D ones needs, how much sun exposure is necessary especially during colder months, how D is stored in the fatty tissue, even that exposing button mushrooms to sunlight creates a high level of bio-available D. Also B-12, I'm always confused about supplementing, what sort to look for, actual food sources (analogue, if they interfer with absorption of "real" B-12) etc. Thanks for your articles! Date: December 27, 2010 06:09PM Thats no problem coco, if you are chronically low despite dietary changes there could be some other issue going on such as absorption, has a doctor ever said anything?
Im jotting down all my notes of vitamin D just now as its quite a complex one with all the different types of vitamin D etc. They both will likely be my next articles. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
