Date: July 03, 2009 01:31AM I still have some raw buckwheat noodles left in my fridge. Has anyone ever run uncooked noodles under hot water and consumed them? If the water temp was at an acceptable level, it would still be considered a raw dish, no? Re: Random Idea

Date: July 03, 2009 02:57PM Tamukha is right. All grains, in whatever form, need to be cooked for safe digestion. "Quick Cereals" are usually pre-cooked and dehydrated for quick re-heating, but all grains (including flours from grains) need to be cooked. The safest way to eat grains "raw" would be sprouting. The second method would be roasting them (Dextrinize - spell??). Lastly would be cooking.
Hope that helps. =) ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty." —Thomas Jefferson Re: Random Idea

Date: July 05, 2009 10:52PM Thank you for the replies. I did eat the last bit of it using the method I described, but don't plan on doing it again. I didn't notice any digestion problems. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
